Yeah 3 months of crap including results - still in the main crap to watch but we are better only by the fact we have got the points with majority of performances being dreary.

Trueman offered little positivity in his post match interview, usual stuff the boys are knackered and we have to rotate the squad, he thinks Canavan has a slight hamstring pull.

Even Kiwomya saying they need a plan b which they don't seem to have.

 

If Sutton is fit then i think plan B has to be 4-4-2 with one of the midfield four being a winger and one perhaps Evans. Two wingers would be too open.

 

So is AOC a luxury player?
No simply another not being played in his best position.

 

I can handle playing poorly and losing games. It happens. Its shit, but it happens. What I don't understand is the level of caution in our play. Crawley, Carlisle, Oldham, Newport, Grimsby. Several times in recent weeks we've faced sides in poor form and not on one occasion did we start on the front foot and take the game to our opponents.

The pressure is largely off for this season now, because despite the expectations we should have going into every season, the way it panned out until December is such that playoff hopes were largely written off until very recently. There are no fans inside the ground creating any sense of tension. Its a free hit. I can't understand why we're not really pushing, getting on the front foot in every game.

T&S need to adapt- fans won't accept the type of approach we're setting out with once grounds open up. It IS Bowyer like in many aspects.

We wont get a better chance of play off place the way results have gone tonight, but we should know Bradford City never make it easy, as you say we should have been at them from the start and although our possession was 60/40 early doors we didn't create anything,

 

I'd like to see what Evans can do at right back. Played there often with Pompey. I don't think he offers much in the 3 behind a striker, but we need more from our full backs with the ball. I'd like to see whether he'd be a reasonable option for that role next season, before we have to go summer shopping.

At the time T&S took control play offs did seem a pipe dream but they turned it around in a very poor league and were well within touching distance, 3 months of "crap" has nothing to do with it we were in my opinion favourites to grab a play off place the same 2 men responsible for saving our season are responsible for us not being in the play offs at the end of it, Saturday and tonight we're down to tactics employed by them, not a knee jerk reaction they steadied the ship but for some reason not capable of seeing the job through, inexperience maybe
Season over now whether they are the right men for next season is debatable great in a backs against the wall situation but lacking when it comes to pushing us forward

Can Rowe play in any other position? Seems he can't. AOC can. So therefore Rowe IS a luxury player, and AOC IS NOT.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking Rowe's ability, and like Doyle, he'd thrive played in a formation that suits him. But at the moment, he's not being given that chance, so therefore (in my opinion) he doesn't warrant his place in the starting eleven.

 

I've suggested that a number of times. Glad someone else can see the potential advantages.
For those wishing to see Cook and Rowe together that can only be 4-4-2 or 5-3-2. And Evans would be a good shout at rwb too. Either would be a refreshing change from the present turgid system and we've really got nothing to lose. But somehow I don't think our management duo have the imagination to try something so different.

 

T&S are looking more and more like a busted flush. Confidence has ebbed away and we’re now seeing weak and undisciplined team performances week in week out

 

Nonsense the remit was to save us from relegation and push on next season and with one transfer window the first part has been achieved their record has been remarkable. I swear some people on here would be changing managers every time we have a bad result. But your comments just bear out what we discussion we were having earlier today about some city fans
