Again, you miss the point Park. For the last few weeks I've been questioning T&S and whether they're what we need for next season. Because 'saving us from relegation' is not an acceptable barometer for judging our credentials. In fact, its a disgrace we were there in the first place. I'm judging what we've done since the turn of the year on the basis of whats needed for a top 3 push. That must be our aim next season and we should state it openly. Everything we do between now and August should be geared towards that. And from what I see there's still a lot of improvement needed, certainly with the squad and also from how we're coached.

We are not a hard team to suss out. No midfield and a keeper that has no confidence and we have no pace at the back or on the flanks....

 

I don't disagree. I think we can do better. I think we looked more solid and defended our box much more robustly with Hornby between the sticks.

 

Luxury player don’t talk rubbish, he has scored about 200 career goals , but shouldn’t be used like James Hanson.

 

Yeah 3 months of crap including results - still on the main crap to watch but we are better only by the fact we have got the points with dreary performances.

Deja Vu the Grimsby game. We fell lucky and won that. Not this time around. Too cautious, too conservative, completely uninspiring. The only times I got anywhere near excited was with Donaldson's nouse and vision. We currently start every game in first gear and never get much past second.

 

No the comment was if we get all three points it would be acceptable, the 3 points were missing tonight, the performance was as dire.

 

Evans offers nothing and the two home grown players look way off league 2 level at the moment. Only looked a half decent side when Donaldson and later Sutton came on, both played well. Watt currently looks lost on his own, to be fair he was at his best when Sutton and Cooke were in, no one else in midfield offers anything. I desperately want us to reach the play offs but it just doesn't feel like a playoff team.

Like I mentioned after Saturdays game you can't play poorly every game and win, it's not how football works. And to be fair bar the FGR win we've looked very ordinary for a long time. And ordinary teams very rarely get promoted.

Yes it was, one of the worst crap performances for a long time. I only go on what i am watching and it lacked basics.

 

But he is being used like James Hanson. Which means he's not suited to our formation. Which means he's a luxury player at best, or a passenger like today. I don't care how many goals he's scored (mostly at lower league level). If he comes in and can't play to the best of his ability - perhaps due to the management playing him wrongly (ala Doyle and Vaughan) - then a successful goal count means nothing. Please don't send me down the Ross Hannah, Kai Bruenker, McClean road....

 

Crawley were there for the taking at the start. They were expecting us to go at them and we handed the initiative straight over. Donaldson or Cook should have started.

If ROD was playing when T &S took over we’d have been down.. thank god he was out.
