We've stumbled into a bizarre parallel universe where not only did we not sack the manager, we gave him a contract extension.

The worst decision I can recall, it just doesn't make even a tiny bit of sense

 

What I'm saying backed up by Morias is there are players out there with no club who would be happy to prove there worth to a club and dont expect payment until they are playing, unfortunately for Bradford City our manager does not feel the same.

 

I pointed out on another thread George Thorne was playing at Oxford for free last season.

 

Yeah but he's an amazing man manager, constantly getting the best out of players and improving them.

The soundbites just get worse. I think he's losing the plot even worse than in his first spell but now hasn't even got the self awareness to realise he's part of the problem.

Baffling decision, pretty much chucking Sparks under a bus, and if it was his say so, one he must seriously regret already.

 

I don't think it was a Rhodes decision, I've never known him do it before, he only gave Stuart a short term contract in the first place - it would make sense had Rhodes gifted Stuart a three year deal last season, but he didn't.

This is very much a dreadful first decision from Sparks, to be honest.

 

No matter who made the call it looked to be the wrong call at the time, and even more so every game we lose.

 

True mate, absolutely right, just not sure where that next win is right now. Oldham up next? Gulp.

It would be interesting to know, i sway towards Rhodes , in a sort of im leaving and you take over now and weve sorted the manager situation for you you can concentrate on the fans and finances, but yes if it was sparks its turning out to be a massive mistake from the rookie ceo.

 

The next 6 games up until the January transfer window are all difficult games not helped by 4 of them being away, our home record is poor but our away record is worse.
Unless we get the majority of our (let's say starters) back and playing something like they could be 6 defeats I hope they prove me wrong but our recent displays suggest otherwise

 

It made no sense at the time and 2/3 defeats since the extension it looks even worse, I cant think of a reason why it was offered were hardly pulling up any tree's, it wasnt a situation where other clubs were after McCall strange call for sure.

 

I genuinely think they thought it would go down well with the support and drown out fan dissention from handing the CEO role to a complete novice.

It wasn't even a case of 'but we really, really need to build around Stuart, he's the key component for the next few years and the only suitable candidate', either.

 

The only thing it smacks of is Sparks and McCall were set certain targets in lockdown and if achieve both would be rewarded.

It makes no sense barring this.
