    Carlisle fan here.

Thought I’d share my view on today - first goal was always going to be critical - but I’d question if you did any form of scouting etc. If you don’t bring pace and run the wings against us, we will generally win.

Your GK and RB / RWB looked very promising, and your players attitude at 0-0 was that of players wanting to battle for a manager. Samuels looked a decent threat (or better than what you had) up top, doesn’t seem like a scorer though. - not sure why he’s getting slated here, was 5 or 6 far worse players.

you obviously watched Elliot Watt when he was at us to sign him ? I don’t understand why your asking him to do a job he can’t do asking him to be a mobile CdM is a disaster, let him break up play in the centre and dictate play with the ball at his feet. We changed about 15 min in and asked Melish to run beyond him, as soon as we did he was out of the game.

I’d be a little worried about your CB’s decent in the air but can’t keep hold of the ball. Cooke looked decent with the ball, didn’t notice Pritchard. As for Donaldson - I’d get rid now, clearly not bothered, used to be feered and bully CB’s he just didn’t look bothered today.

Our finishing was disgraceful today and we were lucky you coudnt capitalise on this (we should of had 3 or 4) again thought your keeper was decent.

    Positives:
    - ive seen two worse teams this season (barrow, Southend, Scunthorpe (don’t know how we lost to them))

Good luck for the rest of the season, Bradford are too big for L2 never mind the conference.

Imo some are doing everything possible to distance the club from its fans. Whether it's being disingenuous about players leaving the club or players joining the club or the strange appointments we're making or rewarding failure with extended contracts or assembling a squad with obvious inadequacies, it's beginning to work imo. We're not far off the next transfer window and we may have identified some targets or maybe we haven't yet had the meeting to discuss what we need. There are too many mixed messages. It's a weird way to run the club or any business whilst expecting to keep its fans/customers onside.

It won't be long before the marketing of ST's begins. You'd think that the club would want to create the strongest bond between it and its fans going into that period for us all to part with our hard earned cash. And yet I sense that the opposite is happening. The transfer window will have a major bearing for most of us on how we consider the future of our club. If the club continues with its current mo, it will hit them hard in their pocket

So we lose 5 in a row.

In the bottom 2 and our manager has been rewarded with a new contract.

    Couldn't make it up!

I do believe with those injured players we wouldn't be second bottom, the point I was trying to make was even with said players back it will not change over night and with those 6 games up till the transfer window we could still be in a relegation place.
Stuart was the person who commented about preferring a small squad and also the one who's adamant free agents would not be match fit and would contribute little for several weeks, he used an example last week of a lad going to Scotland who pulled a hamstring and will be out months, yet Carlisle brought the lad Bennett on who scored there winner joining Carlisle United on the 12 of November on a short-term deal until January 202, there are players out there where being 100% match fit is neither major problem for the player or the team, both Cadiss and O'Brien making an instant difference under Bowyer, so I'm sorry Stuart for all your examples of the lad going up to Scotland there will be others who have done well from the off, it seems although we are dire you are not prepared to take that chance.
Just to add if Ismail is going to be out for 3 months we should pay him off IMO.

Another Carlisle fan here, last time I was at at Valley Parade we got humped 0-4, the last days of the Greg Abbott regime, we were deservedly well beaten.
Today....... Well what a difference, not wishing to gloat but I thought you would come out all guns blazing especially after Tuesday night (by all accounts you were unlucky to lose), but today??????
Some of your players just didn't seem interested, Elliott Watt (great for us) was a shadow of the player who left us, your midfield was out battled time and again and your forwards well.......................(just hoping for your sakes that they were all reserves) All our ex Bantams played well, (fair enough they probably wanted to 'up' their game against their former employers) however, Devine was neat and tidy in the middle of the park (he wasn't even our first choice until a couple of weeks ago), and Patrick as always has bags of pace and was probably unlucky not to get a goal.
Not wanting to gloat, as I know a number of Bantams (I lived in Harrogate for a number of years) but a club the size of Bradford shouldn't be sitting anywhere near the bottom of the 4th tier, your fans deserve more than that.

Phil Parkinson is sat at home watching Gillette Soccer Saturday drawing a handsome salary, one that will stop as soon as he gets another job. He's got no stress, can see his kids at the weekend and probably has no real desire to come and rescue a basket case club. Hell, he's probably got a nice bottle of red coming u to room temp.

We played well first half Tuesday night. If BRE hadn't missed a sitter and the ref given us what was a nailed on penalty we could easily have gone in 3 goals to the good. Football has a habit of kicking you when your luck is out.

There is no way McCall is getting sacked anytime soon. Do you really think 1 week after extending his contract they are going to do the deed. The only way we will get rid of McCall is if he walks, let's hope and pray he does, very soon

It's a minor miracle Donaldson is playing 90 minutes twice a week.

It's a horrible schedule for anyone at 36 or 18, and kind of makes a mockery that we're in that situation.

I totally understand if Stuart rotates.

I’ve just won the league as champions in my first season on FM. I played two out and out wingers and sold DMH and Guthrie as soon as I could.

How silly of Carlisle to sign a free agent like Rhys Bennett a few weeks back.

actually cant think of words to describe this, everyone at the club has no excuse for us to be this poor. we aren't being crazily outspent and have operated under the same rules as everyone else. and yet we look absolutely fecking clueless

We lost again. Nothing was shocking. It was predictable. Periods of endeavour and lots of determined running around. No apparent game plan. If there was one, the players didn't - or were unable - to execute it. Mediocrity ran like rivers of shit through the performance. Poor passing, again. Poor defensive errors, again. No decent chances on goal, again. Our players being pulled out of position, again. No wit, no cleverness, no ideas, again. We are near rock bottom, propping up the entire football league, and it is indeed, where we deserve to be. I am now going to stop always prefacing any remark I make about Stuart, saying ' great player', 'City legend'. He is not up to the job as manager and clearly has not a clue in how we need to be turned around. Fordy, you were right all along. New owner, new CEO, new manager pronto. It is not only the way up - it's the only reason we'll stop from ending up in the National League.

'Listen, we're missing some key people! We'll be better once Clarke, Novak and Evans return'. (Yeah, right!)

'There's a big meeting next week with another party to work out where we need to recruit' (later confirmed as some kind of scouting or recruitment support)

'I've put out requests to 40 agents' to fill 'four key areas' (That's a major change from being happy with the squad in the summer)

'We'll bring people in in January' (How many times have we heard that?)

'We can only change it on the field. We can change it off the field with some more signings' (wtf does that mean?)

'They got the best out of what they've got. We don't get the best out of what we've got' (And whose responsibility is that?)

SMc sounded rattled again without much coherence in what he was saying.

Maybe the Bielsa 4-1-4-1 set up may suit us

( Still think a mistake to let Devine go, Cheap, Reliable, Not injury prone and better than some we have signed,)
