Tell you what else really raised my blood pressure yesterday, that I've just remembered.

We made Omari Patrick, a player who was probably thought of in the same esteem as DMH when he was here, look like a really good player.

Similarly with Danny Devine, very average whilst he was City. Looked better than anyone in the City midfield yesterday.

What is it with this club, why do players consistently underperform when on City's books. Then go elsewhere and look much improved? What in God's name do we do to them exactly?

You watch, Guthrie and Ismael will be released in January. One will go on to break some sort of half season scoring record for who he moves to. And the other will play 23 consecutive games for his next club.

I'm beginning to wonder if at some point we've been cursed by a gypsy or something?

    well here's an ex-player who believes differently : https://www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/sport/18903615.free-agent-filipe-morais-confident-finding-another-club/

“It’s probably not going to cost much. Players are desperate to get into clubs.

“Most realise now that the money isn’t there like before. They would be happy to train and prove themselves.

“If that’s for three or four weeks, then so be it. You’re not paying them anything.

“I would never take that negatively. In football you constantly have to prove yourself, there’s no right to anything.

“I’d be more than willing to do that for a decent club – where I could be home.

“I’m still motivated to play at a higher level. I’m not thinking I’m on the way down.

“I know where my body’s at and know I’ve still got it. If I didn’t, I’d be the first to put my hand up and go do something else.”

Morais is a strange one, surely he has to be better than DMH even at 35.. lives locally too so not going to want the earth.

I am sure that back i the 60's we had the pitch exorcised by a clergyman..just a youngster back then so I may be wrong but I recall that the ground may have been cursed following a string of poor results. Hopefully someone of an age might remember something relevant and protect me from being thought of as bonkers! Also cup tie and PNE spring to mind.

I think it might need topping up then. That supernatural energy the clergy protected it with has definitely worn off.

We need Charlie to urinate in every corner quadrant, on the centre and penalty spots. From some of the behaviour I've seen him display in the ground. The man definitely has some kind of direct link with the spirit world.

I meant I don’t think we can pay him of while he is injured unless we pay up his full contact

I'm sure Clayton Donaldson's body fat is at an acceptable level, but he no longer has it.

I would not be looking at 35 year olds to rescue this nightmare season unless of course there was a Gary Jones type out there.

Only a baby then, so no firsthand knowledge. But given Holywell Ash Lane, one can't help but think of a well and a religious site in the neighbourhood. Perhaps it all goes back to the dissolution of the monasteries...was there one nearby? An article I have on Manningham history is quiet on the subject. But if so, there may just be a curse on the site as a whole, if it is used for any purposes other than religious. Hence City's poor results, leading to the exorcism...which, it appears, would need to be performed again!

Reverend Charlie Pishgood at your services?

Good to hear well worded comments from Carlise Fans, mostly nail on head tbh.

McCall at it again in T&A today trying to put a positive spin on things....

‘“Cheltenham, Exeter and Carlisle have all come here in the top six and there has been nothing in the teams, apart from when we lose a goal.’

Basically first half we’ve been in touch in the game but been unable to compete second half or provide any sort of attacking threat or response to going behind.

We look slow, unfit, and weak, as alluded to a disaster for this league.

"Out of all the teams we've lost to this season, there's been nothing in it apart from the fact they've scored more goals than us". He's really scraping the bottom of the excuses barrel now.

If he has said that he should not be managing this football club. If he thinks there was little between City and those clubs he mentions then he is completely deluded.

Made me chuckle too. Someone said the other day Omari had more shots on target on Sat than our whole team has managed in the last few games!

I dont see how McCall comes back from this, its gone too far, comments from Carlisle fans that Elliot Watt doesn’t look the player he did for them say it all - one peed off and demoralised squad. Bye bye Manager at most clubs.
