I get chopping and changing managers is a bad idea and you can analyse what’s gone on before till the cows come home due to the catalogue of errors and conclude all sorts , but to me he now just sounds like a rabbit stuck in the headlights, in a critical game we have been outclassed all over the pitch and at times run ragged by Carlisle United in League Two , with yet another poor performance, and for that reason he needs to go. Even Bowyer was better than this.

Results based business, and they are beyond terrible. McCall out.

I agree. So, we have chopped and changed managers and possibly that’s got us to where we are. It can’t be a good policy to so drastically deny any continuity. However, saying we’ve chopped and changed and it’s got us nowhere and bloody mindedly saying we are not doing that again, despite all apparent evidence pointing to the genuine possibility of relegation is just as bad, if not worse leadership. One thing is for certain, if McCall does leave, the next appointment is the most critical decision this club has had to make when appointing a new manager.

    It's 2011 all over again.

Given the history of the club it was always likely we'd be back in this position one day, but it's hard to believe it's happened so soon given what happened in the meantime.

Stuart is a soul in conflict largely due to his mis-management of recruitment and mis-judgement of a viable squad size. Two errors which have accelerated our demise. He can't really blame those players he inherited any more than those he brought in.Even more reason for him to have expanded the squad..but being on the back foot, he must take responsibility for the failure to act. If he needed more support he should have insisted at the outset and not made do. Somewhere along the line there has been a lot of misplaced trust, although you cannot question his self belief. Unfortunately that is not enough although our CEO feels he can back it.

I've just heard on the grapevine, that our scouting network has "been notified of a decent winger".

Expect a bid for Omari Patrick in January :D

Agree although I have a feeling Sparks was railroaded or had no real say on the 12 months extension, I’m giving him the benefit of the doubt for now on that decision.

Thing is <obviously> it's not about the individual players.

That's the problem. He thinks we're missing players but we're not.

We're missing a system for defending. We started with 3 at the back (mainly because of poor recruitment) and have now switched to 4 at the back BUT they don't defend as a unit and because we either play with a midfield 2 or 3 in front of the defensive line (depending on the formation) then the midfielders aren't sure if they should be sitting back or pushing on, which space they should be occupying and how to interact with the defense.

Then we're missing a plan for attacking and scoring. Is it Clarke behind a front two as a diamond or is it wide players like Wood or Hosannah or is it a 4-3-3 type thing with Hosannah pushed right up front.

Look, some of the players are not good enough such as DMH but put Pritchard or Scales or Staunton or Wood or Hosannah into a system that is structured, well organised, and doesn't change every five minutes and they'll be ok.

The problem is the manager is not coaching the defensive unit as a unit (because we had no right back until 2 days before the season started) and he's not clear on what our attacking plan is. He needs to stick with a formation and coach the players to do what he wants but it doesn't look like he can. This team doesn't have the on-field intelligence and organisation of a Jones or a Law or a Darby so the players need to be told what to do and he doesn't know how to do it.

    End of rant. Sorry....

Sutton and BRE are poor. Either could easily be sent off.

Anyway, the problem is that team wi need coaching to defend and attack and our manager doesn't seem capable of doing that.

That duo in the centre of midfield would be completely overrun, and leave two very shaky centre halves completely exposed.
