Best team we've faced. Big take away for me, is that in the midfield and supporting attack areas, we still need to be better if we want to be top 3 next season.

Great effort though. I'm not complaining when you look at where we've come from. The effort and spirit is first class.

 

Our passing must improve,we keep giving the ball-away to easily,it’s happened in the last 3 - 4 games.

 

We might have been pants but we have a magnificent defence and it took a lucky goal from them to break the deadlock and after they did score and we pushed it and it took a magnificent save from Gilks to keep the header out and then a great goal and when we have the attacking players we now have that’s what we can do. And a mention for the other subs I thought Stevens did really well when he came on he is steadily improving and Donaldson and Clarke. We take the point and move on

 

I still don't see any problem and that we did ok today, effort and commitment as strong as ever, give the lads a break...

We were very wasteful with posession today which probably made Bolton look better than what they were, although they probably did deserve the win. Back four again were excellent but that front six didn't gel today.

 

Very frustrating seeing players in space only to see the pass go straight to a white shirt. It happens, hopefully next game those passes will go where intended.

 

Your default setting is we should stop going backwards on everything but funnily you always revert back to Rhodes and McCall to justify some of your comments you need to be more forward thinking it will help you in the long run a

Two quality teams with attacking intent, both teams wanted to win and played football the ‘right way’

I think a draw was the anticipated result on form and that was the right result given how the game panned out.

Haven't screamed for a goal that loud all season when the equaliser went in. F*ck*ng brilliant.

 

I wish T & S could find a way of letting the breaks off. The structured nature of our play made it easy for Bolton to defend until we threw bodies into the box at the end and made it uncomfortable for them.
It's difficult to criticise the management whilst the points total keeps ticking over, but I think with the goalscorers in our squad unleashed, we're quite capable of putting 3 or 4 past some teams whilst improving the goal difference at the same time.

 

This forum would be boring without @Fordy117. Besides, I suspect he’s a robot.

This game is huge, have an awful feeling our run might come to an end but hopefully I'm wrong. But we'll need to improve performance levels from what we've seen over the last couple of games.

Hoping to see Evans come back in and I'd like to see Cook come back for Rowe as I think in current form he offers more.

 

I accept that after scoring tonight and generally improved performance it is a tough call. I just think we have a tendency to sit too deep with Rowe. I think we need to be more on the front foot against Bolton, last night we got away with it because - inspite of their possession - mansfield had very little attacking threat.

That we are even debating between two top players shows how far we've come.

 

Cook to start over Rowe for me, Rowe can be a yard away from the ball and make no attempt to go for it, goals or not he is gonna frustrate the hell out of us...
