Good afternoon, hope username is self explanatory .
Just wanted to put our side of things !
1 Most Bolton fans think Saturday is a very tough game and only the internet idiots think we will walk it. Most would take a point now without a doubt
2 Like yourselves we have massively turned round our season. Changed to a back 4, experienced keeper, excellent business in January and playing with confidence.
3 Someone mentioned we let goals in, but not since we stopped playing a young kid who could not catch in goal
4 Most of our fans back Evatt, he says some daft things but you can see what he is trying to do on and off the pitch and after years of the shambles we have endured he is a breath of fresh air.
Really looking fwad to the game, although quite nervous as have seen your results over recent weeks. Happy to chat about anything to do with the game. Not here to trade insults, went to Uni in Bradford and watched many games supporting Bradford when could not get to Bolton. Developed a strong dislike of Leeds to this day ! Still live local so know plenty of Bradford fans, most of whom are sound.

Jeez guys what is it like on here when you concede in injury time ?
The two form teams in the league drew a tight game. Still both top of form league btw. All today showed is that we are both capable of pushing on for at least a play off spot. We scored a late winner last Saturday and just like this site we had people bemoaning the win, because we scored late ! Yes I thought we were the better team but successful teams get points out of games when they are not on top.
The commentator on I follow said earlier in the season we were in 19th and 21st respectively.
Both clubs have had troubled times so even having a club is a plus, but to a competitive team with managers trying to play the right way and players committed to the cause as shown by a 93rd minute equaliser is something to enjoy. A few on here ( not all and not most) need to give their heads a shakebanbrotam, Jason McEvan, Naz Nomad and 28 others like this. -
Hi Guys, Wanderers fan here and really looking forward to our game on Saturday. One or two on here have commented that we assume we only have to turn up to get the 3 points but I can tell you that’s not so. Like you, were recovering from a dreadful start and hopefully we’ll both finish strongly and get out of a league we shouldn’t be in. Still being under embargo, we’ve been unable to pay loan or transfer fees and we employed a Director of football who considered a money ball method of signing players was the way to go. Consequently we started the season with a bunch of amateurs and cast offs apart from one or two like Doyle and Sarcevic. We were awful but he was binned at Christmas and Evatt allowed to sign his own players, so few of those you saw when we last met are still here.
The difference is immense and with four or five quality signings added to the good players we did have we now have arguably the best squad in L2. They are now settling in and I think you’ll see a massive difference to the team you saw last time. I think you’ll need to be on your A game to win on Saturday but the way you’re playing now you should have every confidence of getting a result. I think the majority of Wanderers fans see this as a really tough game, probably our toughest for a while and think we too will need to play well to get a result. Whatever happens, I think we can both make the top 7 at least so let’s hope it’s a good game on Saturday and if either does win that they deserve it. Either way, I wish you luck for your remaining games. -
A few comments about our spending and Bolton going down the same route again , we for a decade at least we have been mismanaged in recent years run by a crook. As good as it is to see the improvement on the pitch the biggest thing is that we now have brilliant owners a mix of real Bolton fans and good sensible business people who understand what a football club means to the community. Here is a tweet from the club today.

I look forward to when we're back to some semblance of normality: calling for the Owner to sell up, sacking the manager polls and how the whole club is going to hell in a hand cart.Stop hovering to collapse... There are a lot of considerations here, the first is Saturday. On another post it has been suggested these are two different teams to early season. I don't agree, the current form says yes but personnel wise no, in the case of Bolton. As far as I know they are still playing the two central defenders, Santos and his mate, the two scorers, Doyle and Sarcevic and no GK on the bench. I don't know their remaining fixtures but as pointed out their current results have been against lower placed clubs and I think they maybe in a slightly false position in terms of ability, their fans seem to think so as they are at social media war with the Manager who they clearly do not and never have rated. BCFC on the other hand are un-recognisable personnel wise from our first encounter.
As for Saturday this game is important as a win could see us all but reach the magic 50 point safety mark which is all anyone at the Club is thinking about. If you heard the BBC interview with MT last night he refused to be drawn on promotion, repeating he wasn't sure how many more points we need before he can shift mindset. Absolutely right!
Ryan has described this weeks two games as 'pivotal' and he's right too. This runs right through the Club.
Back to Bolton, Clubs at this time run into or out of form in many cases. Cambridge have slipped a little with most games played, FGR have shipped goals, Carlisle are in danger of getting caught up with their fixture pile up, Crawley and Orient have/are sliding away, Newport have stalled, Stevenage are hitting form of sorts and Harrogate are lurking.
Our 5 fixtures coming up, 4 after last night will be the ones that allow me to answer your question. I've been hammered once for suggesting 50/53 points for safety, I now think 50 and sticking my neck out, will we finish above Bolton?, yes.
That's done it!!CRASS, RCarol, Interested Bystander and 10 others like this. -
You can agree with him if you like but you cant say he is 'right' - its an opinion. How anyone can have a go at our mindset is beyond me, we were a joke just 3 months back and it has been an amazing transformation, the boys deserve nothing but credit - in my opinion!Angryangryian, Inspector, meelin and 10 others like this. -

To any Bolton fans reading this thread, if you do not have your own I Follow commentary team at the game tomorrow can I apologise for the drivel that you will have to endure.
Our pair of Muppets have only a basic grasp of the English language, talk about the layers of clothing they are wearing, yell goal every time we shoot and yell and giggle like excited schoolgirls at any contentious incident.
One of them in particular makes up words and phrases that nobody has ever heard before.
They are that poor that most listen without commentary and look forward to away games, when the home commentators are far superior.meelin, Hugh Jarse, Matnab and 9 others like this. -

Can you imagine walking out of Valley Parade after that one. Not the best performance, but played at 90mph and what a finish.

Boltons midfield in particular bossed today, but what immense joy there is scoring a vital goal 3 mins into injury time - 3 months ago we were powder puff and now we never know when we are beaten. That in itself is something to celebrate, even when we have for the most part been 2nd bestMighty Bantam, wetherbywhaler, Stoneski and 9 others like this. -
Genuinely good luck for the rest of the season, just hope our paths do not cross again and when do it will up a division for us both and I can have a few Saltaire Blondes in the Record Bar.
