I think if we had more shots yesterday it wouldn't have seemed like we were so blunt up front.

We've done better at shooting more in recent games and it needs mixing up but if a team knows you're just going to tap tap around then they get used to that. Our attack needs less predictability and one way to do that is shooting more.

 

It is a really interesting point, T&S have found a system that has galvanised the squad and it is understandable they will largely stick to it - as young coaches this is now part of their own development in how they keep the structure they like whilst adding a few extra strings to their bow. It might take a bit of time but I am confident we will see this as their tenure grows.
I honestly think one thing preventing change at present is the lack of an additional positive midfielder alongside Watt, Cooke and Sutton - they all could do with a short break in a rotation policy and Pritchard could have provided this had he been fit. I know some will say Clarke and Evans could provide this (if fit) but one more box to box would be invaluable right now

 

We had a few occasions yesterday where we were in good positions for a shot but looked for that killer pass.
This for me is why Rowe has to start at Cardiff, he seems to be one of the few who is prepared to have a go from anywhere, yesterday was a perfect example when the ball broke to Rowe he only had one thing on his mind and that wasnt to cross the ball, it was far from a tap in a defender trying to close him down but he had faith in his ability.
We need more of that from our midfield players, I'll never criticise a player for having a shot I prefer them to make the keeper work but at times as has been said we do look pedestrian.

Yer, the key constraint is options and I'm not trying to criticise. The right things happened in January - moving on a few and bring in more pace and attacking options.

Injuries to Pritch and Evans have been really unhelpful because if fit we could have done some rotating. Clarke is now coming back and will need a game or two to get back up to speed.

It will be really interesting to see who comes in during the summer window.

What a good feeling it was when the ball hit the net yesterday watching at home so far this season I have been quite sanguine even after goals but yesterday I jumped up with a roar which almost made my wife drop her cup of tea. Great stuff
