    Like us then...

The main differences for me, were Kieran Lee - whos just a cut above what we have in the same position, and Adelafo(?). He was more of a threat than our wife players.

In the summer, I think another quality midfielder and wide attacking player are needed. I think the rest is about coaching. We're clearly a well organised and resilient side. But we need to improve on the ball and build a bit more cohesion in possession.

LOL........missus and kids think I’ve lost the plot. BBQ gets lit as soon as the Liverpool match is over!!
Music on, shorts on, mixing cocktails, amazing how a game of football can make your whole weekend......I’d almost forgotten the feeling.

We've strengthened well out wide, but I agree, even more needed if we go up.

It was Afolayan, on loan from West Ham.

After Danny got the equaliser and got mobbed by his team mates I loved AOC celebrations, as the players walked back to the centre circle Canavan and Donaldson were side by side and Clayton was dwarfed by Canavan, I know he's 6' 4" and Clayton's 6'1" but it looked like little and large, he's certainly a big unit.

I think we've got a lot to thank Lee Turnbull for generally in the January window - but particularly with the Canavan signing. A top League 1 performer, albeit one who Turnbull knew wanted to move back North for his family. Right place, right time doesn't happen that often with signings, unless you have the knowledge of their background - in Canavan's case, Bradford lad, former VP ballboy, giving his all down in the South West but a long way from home. Take a bow Lee Turnbull.

Here is your post that I placed the bet upon. So are we good enough for top 7 or not? You seem a tad confused.

Good job the net was there to stop the ball otherwise it would be in orbit alongside Sheehans ball from that penalty at York.

Well it's Sunday night, we're about to play a team on Tuesday you played yesterday so it's me again. Sorry! This time I've read through all the pages (Jeez lads 42 pages!....made the Cheltenham match thread look, feel and taste like a picnic) and feel fairly informed. (No discussion about non-alcoholic beer though.....TG) . So my summary would be: they play 4-2-3-1 with the midfield 2 of Lee and Williams particularly effective; their lone striker Doyle doesn't seem up to much; they have a strong bench but didn't start to use it until late; they are one of the best teams you've faced, looking very comfortable on the ball; they're a bit poor in the final third and, for all their possession they had 3 shots on target. Is that about it? Two questions I had. The match seemed to have been played at a ridiculously high tempo. Was that them, you or both and do Bradford normally play at that pace? Secondly, did Bradford do anything differently (set up, selection. shape) to counteract a team like yourselves who are the form team in the league?

That's a great strike from Rowe....a proper finish. While you were enjoying what seemed a good game to watch I subjected myself to 90 mins of absolute dross (Cambridge-Walsall). Then in the 4th minute of added time Mullin produces a wonder-strike (see it if you can ....fast forward the highlights to the last 20 seconds and ignore the rest). That's football I guess. Hope all is good and, when crowds can attend again I'm going to make a random visit to a Bradford game to meet Fordy117. I'm just curious...Take care everyone and any feedback appreciated ....as always!

Not sure if this has been posted previously but a great angle. Demonstrates the passion in the group.
Theyre one of the best sides I’ve seen since we started our run of form under the new managers. They were better than us on Saturday and stopped us playing with high tempo breaking up possession in midfield. Their manager says it’s the best they have played this season so I guess it depends if they play as well again against your lot. However we found a way. Your team will need lots of heart and endeavour. If they play as well again then it will be tough.

Bolton have a great midfield from wing to wing the best in the division not sure they have the best forwards or defenders though
they probably have including the wingers the best midfield in the league but they are not that good at the back or even with Doyle upfront sorry but I can only see a Bolton victory here though. But best of luck

I know Bolton are a great team and too good for L2 and probably overall a better side but i feel we gave them too much respect and let them off the hook on the break. It was a lucky point but we should have made more of some of the great positions we got into in the middle of the park. Our defence was immense as usual but i think our midfield had a bit of an off day. Overall though, a point gained!
