In the past when we have been moved from Midland Road all seats have been available to buy first come first served.

 

Because no where on the original email did it say your normal seat was reserved. We wanted a group of us together upstairs in the Sunwin. I had missed the email come through as was putting the boy to bed so when I did see it I logged on, waited the 11 minutes, by which time areas were greyed out which was possible after an hour and half of sales.

 

Maybe they have done a quid pro quo with Carlise?

 

That is what I thought had happened this time as nowhere did it say anything. Would have helped if rather than just tweeting they had sent more emails out, even if saying please check Twitter because we have fecked up as usual

 

They should be yours until Wednesday 6pm.

 

Carlisle are placing tickets for both legs on sale on Tuesday. We, on the other hand, rush into it and drop a huge clanger. It seems those in charge simply never learn. The buck stops with sparks, and anyone calling him a bell end or similar are absolutely spot on

Why on earth couldn’t we just give them the usual 2 blocks in MR, or the full TL Dallas in lieu of that?

The club always seem to over complicate these situations. God help us when the away leg goes on sale

 

Because if no one bothered this shit show wouldn’t have got sorted out . It’s only after 3 attempts and uproar from fans them who are slightly later to the party are doing it with ease

Those moaning about Carlisle having blocks A to E are the same who moan that they are forced to walk the long way round after matches with large away followings.
Carlisle fans will head North home along an easier route than going towards Bradford then back around Canal Road and towards Shipley.
City fans can exit the Midland Road stand straight to town, out of the TL Dallas straight to town, and that kop and West stand can exit along Manningham Lane in both directions.
It makes sense.
Those looking to head towards Kings Road can walk along Manningham Lane and down Queens Road.
I'm thinking the only restrictions for fans will be when the coaches leave Midland Road and onto Canal Road towards Shipley.

 

Seriously, the club needs someone with these qualifications.
The ability to look at any scenario from the fans' point of view.
The ability to express the club's messages in clear and unambiguous English.
The ability to anticipate potential problems before they materialise.
Generally, to apply an intelligent and educated mind to the processes of the club's administration, particularly in relation to interaction with the fanbase.
If the position ever comes available I'll apply.
A couple of hours a week should cover it. I'd probably do it for free.

 

There seems to be quite a bit of an I'm alright Jack vibe going on from some of those who don't sit in the Midland Road about us being required to move and that we should just suck it up. Some views on that.
1. The club did not have to do this. The rules don't make them and there is no financial benefit in doing so. Why?
2. Part of the match day experience is sitting near to those who you know, sometimes for many years - 28 years in our case. Now not possible for a key game.
3. On previous occasions when Midland Road has been required to move, all seats could be bought. This time the only seats available are those normally for away fans or non season ticket holders. We have bought in the NWC which was the only area I could find giving a view approximating the one we have in A block.
And you wonder why we are feeling a bit pissed off??

 

Well it took me less than a minute to get my own seat for next week so sod you all lol.

 

There's only 14000 season ticket holders. There'll be at least 8000 spare seats before Wednesday's deadline. Why can't you sit together?

We've had away numerous away followings over 2,000 pretty much every season but none have seen the need to rejig the ground layout from the normal layout to accommodate them so why start now? Surely if it was that much of a problem we'd have changed it before now?

 

Because we are not "friends and family" with the people who sit either side of us, in the 2 rows in front and the row behind. We are all friends because of our association at City. We wouldn't buy tickets for each other but we definitely are a community and if someone is missing we notice.

 

I can’t buy ours. My son purchased 8, we thought it would be nice to sit together but all he could find is lower end of the kop. I presume we can’t buy our season ticket seats because the computer thinks we already have them. He had emailed the club for reimbursement then we can buy ours. If they are not available ie we run out of time, it will be feet up cup of tea and watch on TV
