Yes, I know what you mean. He's still learning his trade and has a good "mentor" in Doyle to tap into. Having said that he appears a step ahead of Bass who is in a pretty similar position.

 

I've only seen him the once, but he looks well ahead of Bass and light years ahead of Hornby.

 

Won’t be head long if he carries on playing how he is, can’t remember a better permanent keeper we’ve had this century tbh. If crap like Bass can get to Sunderland then I’d expect offers to come in for him.

 

Let's hope we can resist the urge to cash in then!

He won't be playing League 2 football next season, one way or another.

 

Bass was certainly not "crap",he did very well towards the end of last season,and I hope he does well at Sunderland.

Each to their own, I didn’t think he had enough core skills. Every keeper should be a decent shot stopper it’s the basic skill like an outfield player dribbling with the ball. It’s other things he struggled with, especially coming off his line and looking like conceding everytime he did and passing the ball out of play regularly.

Unreal performance today for the lad the Pen save was decent but his overall performance in the match was fantastic he made some good saves and kept us in the game. Looks a dream signing from a prem club that just needs a chance. Top lad too, looks like he's loving his time here!

His distribution at times, is reminiscent of Ederson. So comfortable off the turf pinging across the pitch.
