Pre season is about getting players fit and gelling but our pre season is not giving that opportunity to first team players,Sheffield Utd apart.

Hope training has been adequately compensating for this.

After the Farsley game was cancelled there was mention of another one being organised. Wednesday seems an eminently sensible date to go for!

 

Chelsea new manager Maurizio Sarri has told his players that he values training over friendly matches, perhaps Collins shares that view?

Yep - With 2 weeks before the big KO, One would hope that City would be approaching the 'fine tuning' stage by now, using games against the likes of Eccleshill (No disrespect intended), for the Dev squad.

 

I could have sworn I saw somewhere we are playing Eccleshill on Wednesday or was that a dream?

 

Well the proof will be in our early performances and fitness levels.The positive is we may avoid injuries as in Charlie's case.

 

I know we are playing Carlisle but I think we should have fit in at least one more match against league opposition

That's true but severity of injury by an opponent rather than a team mate is likely to be worse although players injure themselves either way.The thing is I hope fitness doesn't become an issue,people didn't seem to rate Chris Short as fitness coach so hoping new man is the real deal.

Mainly permit holders near the ground.Dragon Road car park next to Asda ok.Fifteen to twenty minutes walk though.

I still speak to a few Club members (Eccleshill), so will be a good opportunity to meet up again.
