Think it will be a mix of possible first teamers and fringe.
Think the strongest possible side will start next week at Carlisle

 

I think it'll be similar to Tuesday night in terms of if someone has a knock they won't be risked but otherwise it'll be as strong a team as we can put out with the others getting a run out against Eccleshill on Wednesday. The only questions is how committed is he to this 3-5-2 of sort that we started with on Tuesday, if he sees it as our long term formation then for me he's got to start and stick with it for the next 2 matches to get the players used to it as some of them looked lost in it on Tuesday.

Is he going to get any game time? If not, could mean he's off.

NKP???

Will he play? If not, could mean he's off.

 

I will give NKP is due, he performed his duties on wednesday with fringe lot against avenue, even when the kids came on he was barking orders and organising. If he was on his way or looking to get out he could have quiet easily coasted through the match.

As for Reeves, just how bad is this injury, as something doesnt add up. He was at york, guiseley and the home game against Sheffield so he is "here" so to speak i just dont get why he isn't involved when so little has been said about an injury

Still too early for strongest XI. Will be a bit of tinkering, few getting a chance etc.

 

Good pre season fixture, you can get a pint from the club behind the goal. These are the little touches that make all the difference. Cracking club.

 

Tbf we were playing a very good side with an excellent midfield

 

Without a doubt, yet I understand the concern - City were very narrow and exposed, until reverting to a back four.

 

City seem set to name a similar side to the one that played at Avenue. Collins appears a bit reluctant to go stronger due to the artificial pitch at Harrogate, which begs the question, why agree to play them, didn't they know about the pitch there?

 

I agree it’s been a poor choice of matches for the build up to the season

 

We've only got one game left and most of the squad have barley played 90 mins all pre season! Not the best start

Can’t fault Collins for the choice of match, it will have been sorted before he was appointed.

 

It's definitely frustrating, especially as it probably means players like Jones won't be risked - when more than ever, we need him to be getting game time.
