I think something along the lines of what we saw at the England match would be a start. Report it to officials, the ref then stopping play and the fans being warned which would hopefully help with the people doing it is identified and removed from the ground (And legal action being taken against them) but if it continues then its the ref's decision to abandon the game. An abandoned game seeing the match awarded against the team whose fans were being racist.

At the lower levels, they would need to find a way of ensuring it was actually the fans of that team doing it, as I mentioned at that level segregation is less of a thing as you can often walk from the away end and into the home end freely but if it gets as far as a match being abandoned its going to be more than a couple of isolated fans which makes it harder to manipulate it to look like the other teams fans

Forest Green V Scunthorpe match was delayed today and an announcement made after a Scunthorpe player was racial abused. Apparently the man that did it was pointed out by the other Forest Green fans and was removed whilst the crowd chanted their disapproval.

Even though the swift action by Forest Green has been congratulated by Kick It Out they could still be in trouble from the EFL or FA

Gary Neville blamed Boris Johnson for fuelling racism after last nights disgusting behaviour by racist Man City fans. What an idiot!. The neanderthal shown making monkey gestures is probably too thick to even know who Boris Johnson is

We won't agree on this, but Gary Neville is spot on.
The level of racial abuse has increased massively since the result of the Brexit referendum. It's created a climate in which more people now think it's ok to be openly hostile to people who look different from them. Johnson's (and Trump's) use of language exacerbates that trend by seemingly making it ok to use derogatory language about minority ethnic groups. And not everyone who perpetrates racial abuse is thick.

I think you are about the same age as me. So, do you not remember the high level of racism against footballers in the 70's then?. Yesterdays latest disgusting incident has nothing whatsoever to do with Boris Johnson or Brexit

What a load of catmuck, the two are not intertwined!

You have social media, and a desire to be "noticed", give some "outrage" and some dunderheads will repond, negatively or positively, the current political events do not cross their minds. It is spectacularly illuminating that you you used the names "Johnson" and "Trump" but not another's in a day when some horrendous anti-semtic opinions have been made public from anothers party's members and that party's reluctance to deal with the complaints laid bare.

Yes, of course I remember that. I'm not suggesting that racism at football is anything like as bad as it was then. But there has clearly been an increase in racist abuse and incidents since the referendum, both in football and in the country generally. I believe that it has created a climate in which people with racist attitudes feel less constrained about voicing them publicly and that Johnson's language also has the same effect.
I'm not saying that Brexit or Johnson are making people racist, but that they are making racists more confident to act out their prejudices in public.

Whilst it maybe true, Nevilles comments and those similar are unhelpful imo. All it does is detract Blake from the perpetrator and stick it on an individual higher up, individuals need to be held accountable for their own actions otherwise they’ll never learn. If the bloke came out and said I did it because Brexit, Trump or Johnson made me think it’s acceptable it doesn’t wash, he’s an adult who’s always had these views.

There is a tiny percentage of far left Labour Party members and supporters (mostly recent joiners) who believe crank ideas about Jewish global conspiracies etc and verbalise them online or in meetings. They are despised by the vast majority of LP members and supporters.
Anti-Semitism in the Labour Party is real, but no worse than in the general population and certainly much less than the the endemic racism in Tory Party. The anti-Semitism issue in the LP has been blown out of all proportion. Of course, when it occurs it's very distressing to be on the wrong end of it and I totally condemn it.

I'm not going to defend Corbyn's utterly ineffectual response to dealing with the issue. His wish to avoid upsetting certain people who support him, but who hold anti-Semitic views that he does not, has caused the problem to grow out of control via the media. And it has played into the hands of the conservative British Jewish establishment who want to brand anyone that criticises Israel's repressive government as an anti-Semite.

But being slow and ineffective at dealing with anti-Semitism in the LP is a very far cry from making openly racist statements on multiple occasions as Johnson, Farage and Trump have done. Their open antipathy towards people with different skin, facial features, clothing and culture has emboldened racists, who would previously have felt constrained by modern civilised norms, to voice their hostility towards people of different ethnicity to them.
Do you really believe that it's coincidental that racist attacks, incidents and online abuse has increased since the referendum campaign, both within football and wider society?

Wow! I have never heard in my entire life anything anti-semitic, yet can read umpteen horrendous recent and very recent phrases from labour members. Maybe I was just lucky? I doubt it.

I said that anti-Semitism in the LP is real. Of course you can read it. But it's a tiny proportion of the half million LP members perpetrating it.
Which bit of that didn't you understand?

Sad really that all this political bickering has overshadowed the real things that should matter in this election campaign. Maybe after this election, whoever wins, they can start to concentrate on the future of this country.Honestly, the stuff i've seen recently has actually made me laugh out loud, that Tory bloke getting 'punched' and then the 'young kid on the hospital floor'. Both better stage managed than a WWE championship bout. Never known politics in this country to be as bad as it has been recently, quite embarrassing really.

There's no evidence that the kid on the floor was stage managed. But the obviously accidental 'punch' was a barefaced lie by the Tories attempting to defect the story away from themselves.

Oh come on, if you don't think that was stage managed i give you far too much credit. 3 days before an election? Now i might be cynical but i certainly ain't naive.

Wasn't there another indecent quite recently STAGED in another hospital with a member of the general public questioning Boris, it later turned out he's an active member of the Labour party, that was bad enough but that stunt was a disgrace yesterday, just shows the level politics has stooped.

Both parties are as bad as each other. Funny thing is the amount of folk who get into an agenda driven outrage over it, almost like their chosen party is squeaky clean. Wake up people, don't believe everything you are spoonfed.
