“There are many, many things, not just my contract but it’s about budgets, the training ground, the pitch. All these things will be in a brutally honest conversation that I need to have with him (Edin). If the season was to finish tomorrow, I know what players I want to bring to the club and who I would be letting go but nothing is set in stone."

Interesting article, I've popped some of the key quotes together for sake of ease. Grayson seems like he's ready for some tough negotiations.

The training ground is an interesting comment. Wonder what his thinking is around that.

If we part ways with Grayson, then we know exactly what Edins “ambitions” are and. It confirms that no lessons have been learnt.

Grayson should be careful with his demands. If Edin doesn't want to meet them he could just sack Grayson saying our results haven't been good enough.

Maybe, that's what he wants to happen.

Results haven't been good enough and Edin has every right to sack him. I would.

That's been an issue forever hasn't it? I remember Taylor kicking off about it and we were going to move to new fascilities on the outskirts of Leeds, didn't happen.

You would have thought that Edin would know that SG was never going to be a budget option. So desire has to be met by shaking the money tree. The outcome without doubt, will be intently awaited by all City fans and serve as an indication of whether our expectations are to be met or not. Crunch time for intent and honest resolve.

Think SG may be setting himself up for a fall after reading that. I know they are not his players but they were top 6 players up to Christmas he has hardly pulled up any trees since he has been here ((not withstanding his Sunderland debacle). The owners are very tunnel visioned with their strategy for the club and I personally don't think they will change. He would have stood a better chance if results on the pitch had been good. Very poor season ticket sales repairing the pitch (if it happens) etc are massive factors in his future unless investment can be found my thoughts are he won't stay

I'm not stuck on Grayson by any means, but if he does leave, I'll be interested to find out why.

Agree with this, you have to admire his self belief because he's talking like a manager who's had a positive effect, rather than one who has taken us backwards. Clearly, we should disregard his results to date and keep our fingers crossed that the board can convince him to continue next season

Grayson not stupid he knows how to get teams out of this league it' either back him or sack him. I don't get the call for the latter he came in to the club with a team very low of confidence and other things going on but none of these players are actually his signing so to judge him on that would be stupid. We only have to look at Jewell when he took over from Kamara results weren' great but once he got his players in the following season it was a huge success.

The one bit of interest for me are where he is quoted as saying if the seasons ends now I know who I would keep (even those on longer deals) and which players I would bring in. To me that sounds like he knows who has what it takes to move forward that are already here, so when he does have a meeting about his future the names of those he wants to go will be brought it.

It will certainly be interesting to see whether the owners back Grayson with those demands, justifiable demands in my opinion. If Grayson remains at he club, it will be clear that the owner will have done a serious u-turn and ripped up their blueprint on how the club should operate.

Lets hope the board and Grayson can compromise and order of goodwill is restored to the club by all fans, and we can look forward to more exciting times and progression for our football club, which, no matter what our feelings are toward the owners at the moment, we all love

Is Grayson the correct candidate to take bcfc forward.

I would like to think the next 6 results and performances are an indicator of whether he can turn around a disjointed team lacking in confidence around.

Can his hard stance with the players work and get the desired effect?

As many questions of Grayson, as there of Rahic..

Self belief is fine but as yet not seen much improvement on the pitch A broken clock is right twice a day Not entirely convinced he is the right man for the job but should he get the backing will stand or fall by his own self belief
