    Absolutely spot on Fordy
How many on here have been for an interview and said
Well I'll give it a few months and see if I like it
Any prospective employer would have said thanks but no thanks I will find someone else
Who shares my passion for the club (plenty of others out there)
If he leaves (why should it be his decision) we will have to start all over again
If he stays he will very soon have the same problems as Stuart
As you say at the minute Basket Case Rudderless Club

We’ll know where we are and how serious the owners are if he stays. I hope he stays for two reasons. The first is the owners will have realised their approach was deeply damaging. The second is, if he leaves we will have confirmed our lack of ambition. Who the hell are we gonna get in?

I know Grayson bigs himself up but he has at least proved himself. Left to do the job with real backing I’m sure he can rebuild and make us back into a contender. Being in the job now means he is the only guy anywhere who knows what we need and what we have to do.

We employed Grayson on a six month contract because we were desperate for someone to come in and steady the ship and push for promotion. He has managed to get this team playing whether it will be good enough or not remains down to others now. I don’t see this article as a ‘I am on my way’ epitaph. I just think he is laying out what every single one of us has said over the months. He is not saying this for his own benefit but for the club as a whole going forward.

Now the question Edin and Stefan will want answering, in what timescale, because clearly this isn’t bloody Christmas where you get everything you want in a pile the day after the season finishes. However, priority no 1 if he staying is getting the right players into this club, and in the appropriate numbers! If we get a team that plays his way and starts to win matches then the rift between the owners and fans will start to decrease. In my view there is no real rift between the players and the fans, or if there is, it will soon go once we know who we will have in the team.

So now it is time for Stefan to step forward and back this club, it can’t be done by wishing it would happen or telling everybody it is going to happen, it will need hard cash, but not millions. If they remain stubborn and want to do it their way under a Rosler, then who knows what will happen. They have the Grayson blueprint in front of them, Over to you Stefan.

Whoever we get in the football is going to be dire. This is league 1 on a budget.
Pompey were just as crap as us under Jackett who took wolves up.
We were spoilt with the football under Stuart sometimes but he couldn't get the prize of promotion.
Look at Warnock, always direct but always successful.
PP took Bolton up with boring football.
I think it's a case of suck it up and accept going up playing the percentages game.
Crap to watch but gets us up.
I hope Grayson stays, I'm not a fan but I love seeing the team get stuck in.

Who might be quite happy to let the football manager manage, whilst the owners generate finance for him to spend on the best players he can with regards his player budget giving Scunthorpe a far better chance of achieving promotion next season ...........................simple really.

A few weeks ago, Grayson spoke about how he would be sitting down with Edin to discuss potential players for next season, irrespective of whether he would still be at the club or not. If that discussion has taken place, I presume the names Grayson put forward would be players he would want regardless of which league 1 club he might be manager of next season. If that is the case and he does end up at Scunthorpe, surely he will be trying to entice those same players there instead of here. Given that Scunthorpe seem to be happy to offer better deals to players than we are prepared to do, I'm really worried that this could leave us up sh*t creek without a paddle in terms of recruitment yet again.

This is just an investment for them. When we win we as supporters enjoy our Saturday night. They just see their investment grow. There is the difference.

I'll be honest, I was firmly in the 'we must keep grayson at all costs' camp but my god his football is shite. I appreciate that these are a useless set of players (with the odd exception) but my fear is he will just sign players who are more suited to hoofball hit and hope rather than any real attacking quality.

At the minute, I would much rather we go out there and appoint a younger manager who likes to play attacking football. However, would a more inexperienced manager just end up being Edin's puppet? That's my concern as we need a strong manager (like grayson) to put Edin in his place.

Whoever the manager is they need it sorted some time in the next fortnight imo, so that as soon as the final whistle goes at scunny next week, we can start our recruitment. In fact if we are 'prepared' for this upcoming window I would like to think we've already been speaking to clubs/agents about players.

I have seen nothing in Graysons tenure to suggest he has improved our side. He has dropped key members of the squad who could play football and replaced them with loanees who in the main are technically inferior players. We have played awful football even now as the pitch is improving and would allow better football than the brand he is purveying through our team. Very disappointing if he is the next full-time manager. Grays on out for me!

After watching that pathetic performance there is no way Grayson is capable of managing in the Championship. The football on display was more akin to Sunday league.
