It could make the final match team selection interesting if Scunthorpe need a win to secure a play off spot.

Why? because he has left to a rival or more importantly they have a bigger ambition to us

Not really.. Grayson is poor for us. Not a fit at all.

However, questions around Edin and the board will continue because they seem unwilling to back a manager with funds and putting their hands in their pockets.

Edin needs to leaves and sell up.

Why would it cause mayhem on here it is clear to most that the manager is far from the most important person at our club if he was Stuart would still be here and been backed as promised
Having read his comments in the T&A I personally am not bothered whether he stays or not if he was fully Comitted Edin would have sold him the dream when he first came. It seems from what he says that as yet he has not been given the assurances he wants (don't think any manager will be) and he is hedging his bets between us and Scunthorpe.A "championship" manager would have spotted what was wrong with the players and acted before the Blackpool debacle and possibly got us the extra 6 points needed for a play off spot. Whoever the next manager is he needs to sort out the future (at the interview stage)show some committment from the off and have a strong enough personality to get the best for our club

Edins agenda.. not to spend any of their own money.

Sorry mate you been on mars for two years.

Bradford City are a basket club with no agenda and you can tell that by the management appointments. Gone from a footballing man to a dire results man.

The only agenda that's needed in football is to spend money on players but the right players and spend it wisely. Buying shi@e from lower div 1 and 2 isn't spending wisely.

It would be worth him going just for the shits and giggles on here. It would be the first true test for the moderating team as posters wade in from all angles. Please happen, please :D.

Well I will be amazed if he gets everything he wants, life is not that good. Which ever way it goes, it needs to happen soon, it should be priority number 1. We do not need to be behind at the start of the summer.

Having read the T&A article this morning, I’m sorry to say but I’m kinda of leaning to the side that Grayson deep down feels his future lays elsewhere. I appreciate it doesn’t say that in so many words, it just a hunch. If the chairman can not make the prospect of managing our beloved club inviting enough for SG to commit in the very near future, and he feels he’s be better suited at Scunthorpe then I for one would be hugely disappointed. It shows a clear lack of ambition and backing by the board. I appreciate many don’t feel too much affiliation with SG, yet in my opinion, I don’t think there’s anyone available who’d stand a better chance of getting us out of this division if he’s backed. The football might not be pretty at times but I got one would be happy to take that on the chin next season if it means we get out of this tin pot league

A couple of things i picked upon from the article. .

    1) he is aware there is a problem between board/players/fans, made a few comments regarding positivity and needing to know a direction. Gut feeling i get is, he will be a goner. It doesnt appear they are on same wavelength

    2) the training ground issue he keeps bringing up.. Not sure i see the problem here, i thought we had upgraded that to an extent...im sure the gym has been described as first class, we have use of a proper 4g and the grass pitch at Apperley bridge is superb considering the weather.I Was down there only Thursday and it was like a bowling green

    Look, it's very simple this.

If at interview stage Gayson was brought to the club then he would of signed a 2 - 3 years contract. He signed a 6 months because he wanted to get his face back into football and hoped he could string a few good results to get us back into the Championship.

He isn't sold on Bradford City and as soon as something comes up he's gone.

My feeling he will be gone at the end of the season.

Also, hiring Grayson just highlights how Edin and the board are clueless. As I say I understand why they took the risk but as soon as they offered him a 2-3 year contract and he wouldn't agree to that they should of turned to someone else. Now Grayson is in control of the situation and if he leaves then the owners will face serious questions.

Backet case club. Grayson is better off leaving.

I wouldn’t be too bothered if he went his appointment was a salvage job and he’s done ok but his brand of football isn’t great

Although Grayson would have been my first choice after McCall was sacked, I agree with most of that Fordy. I would have looked elsewhere when he would only commit to 6 months. We are in limbo right now, in terms of pre-season plans and he is more or less holding the owners to ransom.. My gut feeling is he will be going to Scunthorpe in the summer, leaving us searching for a new manager again, or perhaps Herr Rosler has already been lined up to become the owners 'Yes man' as coach.

Looks like we will end up like the last two close seasons with no definite manager during the early close season thus delaying recruitment.

They need to make a decision fast otherwise next season could just self implode from the start

I agree. There are 13 weeks from end of season to transfer window close for permanent signings. With no manager on 6th May and a weak squad that's a challenge for a well managed club which we are not. Could easily be relegation fodder. A little depressing. I hope SG stays as that's a sign of better times.

This, for me, is a key comment from Grayson "“Supporters are here for the long-term and the club have to have an idea what they want to do and achieve – and take it back to where everybody is connected again."

I'd say the majority of people on here, and C & B previously, while criticising what has happened this season are effectively saying this. I'm not sure that Simon Grayson is convinced by what he has seen at our club.

I’ve heard him mention a few times improving the training pitches. I thought they’d been Invested in the last few years?
