    Oh common Park...
Millions that didn’t come out of his pocket though did it. It was club sponsorship by his businesses and probably set against tax

But he had the vision. That's the point. Would I want Tordoff or Richmond - it would be the latter every time, simply because I'm not interested in staying in L1 forever

In reality though, I'm also not interested in taking financial risks - which is why I like the cut of the current owners jib

We could go on forever but is this the same Jack Tordoff who along with Stafford saved our club in 1983, and the same Geoffry Richmond who took us into our first administration no matter if that was down to ITV digital deal or not.

Edin, please stay, some of us feel the love
We’re on an adventure, it might work, we may fall on our arse. But it’s something different, it feels instinctively right. Let’s go on the Edin ride rather than the flamingo land one. For the record Mr.Gibb in my opinion didn’t get the credit he deserved first time round, however if he’s serious about his “love” for the club a seven figure sponsorship deal would be very well received!!

I think the present owners are running the club precisely this way to make sure we do have a future.

    A very well balanced post
He has got to protect the pension funds interest nobody including the directors know what's in store this season. Should the worst come to the worst and crowds drop further or if as some think we lose a relegation battle and drop a division he could struggle to get paid his rent. As you say a very shrewd man. Can't see Mr Tordoff being interested at the minute tho at his age he will be wanting to wind down his business interests and as Bronco has already intimated his sons have other interests. Personally have no axe to grind with Mr Gibb and could be a good thing but can't see the current owners selling until if and when the plan fails Comforting to know someone is " waiting in the wings"

Desperate for a new scapegoat eh, you've not had a good word to say about the last two sets of owners, and if these got in the knives would be out within months, especially as there is no chance they would spend to your unrealistic expectations.

I'd no problem with the last set of owners. However, when it was clear they couldn't take the club forward then I wanted them out but to their credit they admitted that they couldn't and sold the club.

The last owners sold the club to people they thought were richer than them who would spend money to drive us into the championship but unless you were born yesterday then you will be able to see that these owners have no ambition and are using the club as a play thing.

The £1m ‘sponsorship’ deal that Edin ‘lost’ wasn’t a sponsorship deal as such it was the catering deal. So unless we either have no income from the catering this year he hasn’t lost it, just gone with someone else. It is something that can only be sold once, so surely it is about getting the best deal possible

That doesn’t sound as good for the Edin bashers though.

Recruitment so far has promise and on budget..the true test now, or if things need a push in January, will be how well they spend their money. Imperative to get their homework right and invest in quality that can step straight in and hit the ground running for us and add improvement if needed.

I don’t think WOAP usually post anything, apart from that sh1t letter, that’s not got a reasonable about of balance. It’s clear McKeown is at the very least sceptical about R+R’s methods, and he’s probably heard both sides of the stories having met or spoken with Rahic, McCall and others. But I don’t recall a piece where they’ve laid in to R+R without adding balance. Happy to be proven wrong.

The fact that an employee doesn’t like how the boss, bosses or owners want to run their business is NOT a case for constructive dismissal. It wouldn’t get past the solicitors office I’m afraid.

Where the chuff have I said Mason should be fighting for constructive dismissal?

I said he quit because he could no longer work for Rahic and was gutted that he felt this was his only option. He loved the job until Edin got too involved. But despite loving his dream job, he was prepared to walk away. It can’t have been ‘nothing’ then that caused him to quit

Absolutely spot on Mike. The problem we have is that they are following a 3rd route and this is sticking with their implementation of the model, refusing to accept they’re making mistakes and not learning from them.
