club now saying more than 17000 to attend on saturday , in the piece about the new food kiosks. They must know how many tickets have sold, will be fantastic if true. Also in the article £7 for a burger and a beer , seems steep to me, can not see many paying that.

£7 is standard fayre in sports stadiums these days for something like a beer and a burger. A pint of Carling at forest last night was £4.80, i think a pie was £2.80 if i remember (i had a beer but not the pie). Simple economics, our club has to generate as much income as it can from match days. With our tickets working out at less than 9 quid a match, a game of footy and pint and a bit to eat coming in at £16. Pretty reasonable.

I suppose a lot will depend on the quality of the product. The burger stand in the garage on valley parade , did a pretty tasty burger at a couple of quid. I am a tight yorkshire man though.

Its hard to judge it against other establishments, stadia are always toward the top end when it comes to food and drink. I can go to Weatherspoons and get a decent pint and decent enough burger for about £5 or 6 quid. I wouldn't ever pay £4.80 for a pint of carling but i was warm and needed a cold pint. And i'm sure thats in the thinking of the price of refreshments at VP, basing it on most who would use that facility ain't gonna worry about a quid or two here or there.

Beer, Amstel or Iron Ale & Burger was £12 pre covid and the pie & pint deal was £8.00 at our Council House
Any guesses as to the cost of this gourmet delight ?

£3.80 a pint of Carling draught is cheap for sports stadiums, even some pubs charge around that or a little more, The burgers look a tad expensive unless really good.

Food at football grounds is overpriced shite. Maybe we can buck the trend - not holding my breath though.

It's £6.95 for a beer and burger at Wetherspoons which is about as cheap as it gets the only difference will be you don't get the chips big deal
