Agree Dave. However, I really think we deserve to know why it hasn't gone ahead.

For now I'm prepared to accept it's for very good reasons but in the medium term we should all know the facts.

As is well known I wanted nothing to do with this but I believe it was organised by Jon who must have put his own money in and must have been well motivated to do it. So I am sure he has had good reason to cancel it.

 

I don't doubt that the motives for cancellation were pure. Jon was very committed to this fly by so serious info has come to him.

I accept there may be a delay in us being informed if this info is sensitive but ultimately it is not acceptable for us to not know why.

Jon has said he will post a thread when he is able and I'm happy with that.

 

Hope you closed the drinks cabinet in the end.

There was no time to debate, as Jon has already specified the new information came at the eleventh hour.

He had to make an immediate decision, it’s not a nice place to be in.

Yes, we can debate whether it was the right or wrong decision all day long. However, I’m sure Jon made the decision with the club and supporters best interests at heart.
