Flyover Postponement

Did you contribute ?, if not why are you worried, most posters who did realise as @bantamdave41 says things might be changing for the better at our club, should that be jeopardised buy a fly bye, no one wanted these two out of our club more than me but maybe Edin going (hope the rumours are true) a CEO/CCO who has done the job before being employed to run the day to day stuff has to be worth the risk of the postponement ?.

 

I do hope the information that @City-since-67 gave to @JonButterfield is correct and will materialise very soon. Although I am struggling to understand why a flyover would knock the club backwards, as we have been repeatedly told that the whole event is insignificant.

 

Agreed. I hope Jon hasn't been conned here, but I guess he must have been given some pretty concrete info?

 

The flyover was never going to be insignificant. However the inclusion of Rupp's name after recent events was wrong IMHO.
Its been clear for a while that ER is the real issue and that, once removed, City could get back on an even keel and move forwards positively.

 

Thoroughly agree. I really fear we will be sat here in weeks and months frustrated at the decision to cancel this flyover.

 

If ER was to go, what's to say SR won't then be a problem? He has to share his own portion of responsibility in these troubled times.

 

I know as much as you as to what information was passed onto him. I imagine Jon is no pushover so doubt he was conned. However I don’t like the way the ITK’s operate, so who knows, but I do trust Jon.

Like I said earlier I believe SR trusted ER and that has failed. SR , is by all accounts the main benefactor so has much more invested and much more to lose.

It seems very odd that this was called off at the 11th hour seemingly because someone sent a direct message on here to @JonButterfield and it looks as though nobody has received a proper explanation?

I’m glad I didn’t contribute because if I did I would be quite p*ssed off with the calamitous manner in which this was cancelled and I’d be wanting proper answers.

It’s quite astonishing that people are just accepting this.

If Rupp is serious about taking the club forward without Rahic great. Are we saying that a plane banner would make him change his mind? If he’s that flakey, perhaps we do need two new owners!

 

If I am getting this right, you are implying if Rupp witnesses or is informed of the flyover, it will seriously damage the club, ie withdraw financial support for the club? Your asking us to stop our protest at the shambolic management of our club over the last 2 years as it might jeopardise Rupps desire to put right what he has overseen over the last 2 years? Is that sensible way for a hard nosed business man to operate? If that is the case, then no wonder we are in the mess we are in!

I.e did those who contributed see/receive official confirmation from the company doing the fly over that it was happening?
