Stay with the arrangements as they are @JonButterfield, bringing Julian in on a consultancy basis is not good enough we still want these two out, but Edin would be a good start.

You are seeing the fruits of the pressure being put on the owners right now.
You have seen a minimization of Rahic's input.
You have seen the balance of power shift back to the MANAGER, not the head coach.
You have seen Julian Rhodes brought back to build bridges between the club and fans.
You have seen Stefan Rupp take a more hands-on approach.
These things haven't all happened because we are last, though clearly changes were needed - fans have been discussing our awful form and disconnect with the club for 11 months.
ELEVEN MONTHS, no change.
Suddenly a crowd-funded stunt acquires all necessary funds in a couple of days with minimum publicity, zero advertising, and a few shares on social media. We had donations of £100. The strength of feeling isn't mumblings as fans leave Valley Parade, and it isn't a few gripes on forums. It's real. It's tangible. The fans have breathed life into the idea of a boycott, and the owners DO NOT LIKE IT.
They are taking action, things are changing, they are actively trying to recover the situation, as they see how serious it has become, and how close it is to having spiraled completely beyond their control. This exercise has been necessary, and even the thought of it has been effective.
Is this purely the result of a flyover? Of course not. But if you don't think these changes have been encouraged by the thought of fans taking very real action, boycotts, dwindling crowds, losing money, letters to the club, season tickets given away or destroyed, etc, etc, etc then you're simply not being realistic.
So you sit there and enjoy all the changes that are happening and yet to come, watch Hopkin with FULL control in January, and soak it all in. That wouldn't have happened if 18,000 City fans had done what you've done.

And to suggest that those who support the fly-by should go and support Rochdale is just insulting to all City fans!QCFC BANTAM, Inspector, Mike Hunt and 12 others like this. -

Bottom line is, the wheels for the fly over were set in motion in mid October. It should have happened three weeks ago.
Now, it happens today.
If there were genuine fears at the club about this stunt, it should have been made apparent weeks ago.
The one pound tickets, allegedly Darby speaking pre game, the apparent marginalisation of Edin, and the re-appointment of Rhodes, as well as the presumably fairly costly signing of Karl Henry all conspire to make this game not as ideal as it might be.
The contributors have not asked for this to stop, and even if they did, I'd have needed a bit of notice.
So, it's happening.
Certain posters can now stop abusing this process, because they can't affect the outcome. Too bad. The damage was done the day Rupp and Rahic really took control and steered us into the maelstrom.

Personally I would postpone it to the Oxford game on 24/11/2018. If something happens in the meantime, which makes it redundant, then cancel. The person you want to see it, should be at that game, as it is a long time since they will have last attended VP.

Wind forecast to be low, scattered showers, at the minute the flyover looks fine. If I'm told otherwise, I will update ASAP.

I say we still do it. Nothing has changed. We seem certain to be relegated, probably as bottom club. Rahic has ripped the heart and soul out of the club to the point of where it is unrecognisable as the entity they bought into. Bringing in Rhodes is a PR stunt to deflect from Rahic, but be sure that the mastermind of this disaster is very much still at the core of operations.

I've told Newcastle, Middlesbrough, Man City and Man United fans this week that I've given money towards the flyby. All thought it was cool, and none have mentioned Leicester City.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Edin is still in the role as no statement has been made that he has relinquished it yet so it still goes ahead as planned with both names.

I do hope the information that @City-since-67 gave to @JonButterfield is correct and will materialise very soon. Although I am struggling to understand why a flyover would knock the club backwards, as we have been repeatedly told that the whole event is insignificant.

Even if I accepted that the flyover could somehow cost us the 3 points, which I don't, Edin remaining in control would cost us many more points.
