Seems to have been a few WUMs on here over the last 6 weeks or so who haven't posted much at all but seem to defend him.

But going back to one of your earlier posts about 'fan pressure' , it may well not be the flyover solely but the turning of some people on here speaks volumes, Parker has become more vocal, Richard Sutcliffe at YP as well, Jason McKeown being more vocal, John Dewhirst, Mark Neale etc. and the fact that there have been articles in national newspapers, international newspapers, several times on national TV highlight programmes....do some others think that Rhodes would have been brought in (Edin kept quiet) if nothing had been posted on here, Twitter or Facebook? My view is that pressure has been building due to the fans...

Is it just me or does Danny Tetley bear an unfortunate resemblance to someone we don't like very much? He knows music...

 

No I certainly wasn't implying it was solely the fly bye, maybe poorly worded by myself, I agree there were many up in arms about the present situation and anyone with an ounce of savvy knew things had to change.
Hopefully our little contribution has played it's part in getting Edin to leave because IMO as long as he's at our club we have a potential problem, I don't believe he could change his ways.
An example, when I was at training the other Tuesday a fellow City fan who was also watching said he had had words with Edin about the situation and said we were looking like we were in a relegation fight, Edin put his arm on his shoulder and said we'll be fine.

 

Correct, several contributors who have either just signed up or have contributed little are now vociferous in their condemnation of the flyover! Interesting, I personally don’t think he has left, and until we have positive confirmation that he has, we keep up the pressure.

 

I wasn't implying that either Broncs, trying to make a point to some of the other posters that the 'pressure' has been building amongst and from the fans and perhaps we have played a part in Rupp getting Rhodes back in and Edin being quiet...

That last paragraph is worrying though....shows he knows football....

Either that or he was next to park at training and missed the opportunity to throw him in the canal.

I wouldn't worry about moral with the flyover 'distraction'. I think a little distraction in football can help a cause.

Welcome news that Stephen Darby will apparently be in attendance today, he'll obviously get a well deserved and emotional reception. It's been suggested he might say a few words on the pitch pre-match, again that would be awesome, but for obvious reasons we wouldn't want the fly-past until comfortably past that point (indeed comfortably past the 2nd minute so as not to cause confusion. Just a concerned thought @JonButterfield

A cynic's view would be that it's been timed by the club (obviously unbeknown to Darbs) to undermine the fly-past, but surely that would only happen if ER was still having input, no-one else would stoop to such a level....?

Don't shoot the messenger, I just shudder at the fly-past being tainted with any disrespect for Darbs.

 

There is a protocol when talking to fellow fans; they are your brother and sister in arms they are part of the same club, therefore they deserve your respect. Of course there is difference of opinions about all aspects of running a football club, if you disagree that’s fine, you just type it up and give your reasons in a respectful manner, then you leave it. Fans have given money to make it happen they are not going to change their minds. I have see repeated posts all saying the same thing, ridiculing and undermining posts, plus calling into question a fans loyalty to the club because they wish to take part in this protest.

A few fans who disagreee have done precisely that, and not taken part in the condemnation of fans, and although they understand why fans are doing this they disagree respectfully. There are lots of fans who are systematically withdrawing their financial support and not turning up for matches. I can’t take part in that protest, as I think it will drag our club even further near to the drop, however I respect their right to protest. There is no right or wrongs in this scenario so trying to lecture ppl is pointless.

 

This fly past has misfortune written all over it. It's not too late to join 20,000 supporters hoping for a City victory.
Pull the plug and get behind the team before it's too late. Otherwise go support Rochdale.
