They’ve probably been given reassurances that Rahic will go and the clubs problems will be patched up and Rupp will stay as owner.

Fans will back down and it will slowly turn. That’s the promise I’d imagine. Not to say it will work but the tide is slowly, slowly turning in my eyes

 

Of course Rupp is a villain too. He owns 80%.

So, all this has moved on to a potential investor now not Edin out.

Think any potential investor would know what's going on at the club. Do you think a potential investor would just not of checked out the midweek game against Aldershot?

An investor isn't going to invest based on one outcome.

 

I’m good thanks. Think it’s pretty obvious this hasn’t come from Rahic and that if it wasn’t true the club and others would have massive egg on their faces if/when it doesn’t come true. Also people will be refunded so if it doesn’t happen they can do the fly over anyway.. so not really sure why people are so bothered

Only thing I can think of is people are just a bit bitter that they have not been given the inside scoop and are just nosey and wanting to be itk

I’ve not said Rupp isn’t a villain anywhere in my post have I? Point it out.

I’m coming up with hypothetical scenarios as to explain the change in stance from the club which seem plausible. Every time a bad word is said about the club is all about Rahic. Rupps name is mentioned but no where near as much. I reckon they’ve been given assurances Rahic will go and they can replace him and the fans grievances will ease slightly if results pick up. It’s quite simple really

 

I hope they were at the Aldershot game as they would see that a target man was top of the shopping list

@JonButterfield, I personally would like to thank you for organising the fly bye and feel you were put into a position where whatever you did would be deemed wrong by some fellow contributors, our opinions will differ.
Could I suggest that any monies that are refunded you put into an account and hold until us fans who contributed see exactly what is happening at our club, if things do take a turn for the better off the field new investment in, and Edin out, then we can donate the money to say the Bradford Burns Unit/Darby's Charity both great Charities, that way we can make a decision in the near future whether we are happy with the situation or we need to intervene again.

 

This is so tedious. If I was going to invest in a Football club as a complete novice, I would research that club, I would even have a a professional who knows football research it. In other words I would know, yes the majority of negativity is directed at Rahic, however you don’t have to know football to know this simple fact, that if there is two owners theother one silent or not has allowed the downward spiral to continue, so I would be asking pertinent questions and I would need to have satisfied myself I had a satisfactory explanation. I would expect them to have informed me of the protest.

 

It does show a bit of naivety from the club still though. If they wanted it stopped they would perhaps have been better giving some very specific wording that could have been shared which could have been carefully crafted to give a clear message. Part of the problem being created is that everyone starts putting their own spin on it and asking questions which lead down rabbit holes.

I’m struggling to understand which part you don’t get here.

No one saying the new investor doenst know all that. They will know the mood isn’t good and the owners are not liked. That’s why they realise they can invest themselves. Rahic must have gone for that to happen and now they have an opportunity to put some money into the club.

IF they have money, they are not stupid. They will have done all research on the mood etc. But and this is the but, they might not have enough to take over the whole club. So they invest on the promise that Rupp stays in position.

 

I don't think the question of Rupp being any other than a share holder has come into dispute, he's not selling the club (more's the pity), we are told it's an injection of new money, so I would assume that would possibly be the new man/woman buying Edins share ?.
I'll leave it there if you believe any new investor is not aware of the situation at Valley Parade with all the bad National and yes International press then I'm a little suspect of the person investing.

 

Well a flyover is not going to convince them either way. He has either reassured them or he hasn’t.

I’ve never said they are not aware. I’ve said they know the need Rupp onside.

If they can avoid an unnecessary situation with bad press against the man they need to stay as
Owner, why would the club not stop the flyover where they could? Or people connected to the club?

Any investment in our club should be welcomed and encouraged.
