Flyover Cancellation

My twopennth, there may be real and honest reasons why the flyover/protest was cancelled yesterday. However, until the news that Edin Rahic is gone and all ties with him and the club are over then it should only been a stay of execution. The pressure that has been brought to bear by the fans, media, ex-staff, players etc. had made a difference, it’s time for them to react to that pressure.

Bingley Bantams’ word, following their support of Rahic’s regime, plan, what ever you want to call it, since the tide turned against him, does not hold any credence in my eyes, I wouldn’t take anything they say at face value. I really hope that the rumours are true and that it will be announced that he is gone Monday/Tuesday next week. I no longer care what the reasons are behind it, money, non football matter, legal issues, I want him gone before he does more damage to our club. The longer this whole saga goes on, the harder it will be for the club to recover any trust with the fan base. It needs an urgent conclusion once and for all. Until Rahic is gone the club will not recover.

Do you really believe that, as an example let's say Sir Alan Sugar was the mystery investor are you trying to say he wouldn't have done his home work on the reason he is being asked to invest money into our club, money people usually do there due diligence on any future investment I would suggest.
And to be honest all I would say to any new potential investor with regards your above quote, you'd really have to be a complete p**k to get the club into the situation it is now, our lass could have done a better job.

Apart from the fly bye everything else was out of our control, the new guy could have watched yesterday's game we could have lost and the fans started Edin Out chants, I honestly don't believe people with money to invest in any new venture would not have an idea of the business back ground and why he/she is being asked to invest.

What happens if this potential investor would only invest if he was buying a share of the club and wanted Rupp to remain as owner outright?

We put him off as he thinks we don’t like Rupp and he could walk soon too? He might have some money but not enough to invest and own a football club outright so he wants Rupp to remain. If Rupp is seen by fans as the villain too then the investor walks away.

If it is an investor they are not buying the club outright I wouldn’t have thought

Agree @Bronco. Look what happened the last time somebody invested in the club who didn’t have a clue...

The very least they should understand, is why the fans are up in arms. It’s not just about pumping money in, it’s about rebuilding the relationship between fans, players and staff.

Yes the banner did say Rahic & Rupp, why would that change anything, has Rupp made it known he's thinking of selling up, the very fact that we are courting a potential new investor suggests he will be a partner along with Stefan, whether that is 50% each or he is buying Edin out we won't know at this present time.
Rupp was just as much comparable for our clubs downward spiral as Edin, why did he not question why after Stuart was sacked things never picked up, and he allowed Edin to go the way he did appointing rookies to the position of head coach and assistant, a massive risk as Edin quoted, the next appointment had to be the correct appointment for the club, the vast amount of fellow posters on here and fans attending games were saying at the time, but were prepared to give Edin the benefit.
We hear Stefans passion is motor sport but how he has been happy to over see the decline in our clubs on field results and performances is to say the least a little bewildering IMO.

 

I think we all get it. We all also feel it doesn't make sense.

In the same way that you're using the internet to have this discussion and push your view of things that potential investor could ask someone to get on the same internet and research about the fans views just as a manufacturer would want to know customer's feedback on their products before investing further into it.

For me, that's where the point you're making loses credence. Since the fly over was cancelled what are you going to do to delete the hundreds of thousands of negative posts about the owners that exist on here, cows arse, twitter, Facebook, Instagram etc or dont those matter? Was it just a little plane they were scared off?

I’ve not downplayed Rupps role in any of it anywhere so think you’ve come down the wrong road in your reply there.

The point still stands if the new investor is not wealthy enough to run a football club on their own, they need Rupp to remain where he is and as owner of the club. They will then invest what they can to boost the funds and possibly look after the clubs interest too? I don’t know I’m guessing here.

But if a plane goes over the ground with the mans name on it he needs to remain, is that not going to set alarm bells ringing for him/ her and their potential investment?

Not sure but there's this top secret hack called "control-F" they can use and type in the word Rupp. I reckon in five minutes they'll have a decent view of things.
