Not yet but the EFL and PHE are still looking into it so it is a possibility. The grounds are closed for deep clean though

Government confirm that fans won't be back in October. None! Zip!

Keep pubs open but fans can't go in a 24k stadium.

I told you all that this government had no interest in getting fans back this year...NONE!

Maybe, @wetherbywhaler@wetherbywhaler was right. We should have just started the season in November.

The news today is massive because a lot of clubs will need financial help now from this extremely poor government. Clubs could go under.

This was always going to happen at some point, which makes it even more remarkable they pushed through that joke of an EFL trophy which can take up to 8 slots in the calendar, that will be required for many clubs.

Out of interest Gove's announcement this morning about no fans, was this weekend's trial a complete disaster or is there absolutely no link and it's just another ball out the bingo machine for regulations?

I notice pubs are to shut at 10pm, which will just see people out an hour or two earlier.

When unemployment is over 10% there will be far more of a crisis.

Anyone with half a clue would have known this second wave was coming, and therefore it shouldn’t be a surprise that fans won’t be allowed in stadiums in October, nor at all this season I regret to inform for the umpteenth time.

The worrying part is that the second wave is happening before temperatures have significantly dropped, which is when the major outbreak will be once general cold and flu is in circulation.

Anybody with hopes of attending a game pre-2021, forget it.

Going out an hour or two earlier is a non-entity for those of us who have non flexible work commitments (and there are many of us). Furthermore, if you went out late, you will know that social distancing is out of the window completely at many establishments across our City and beyond. People are simply too drunk, and in Bradford’s case, too high on coke to care.

    Important information about coronavirus (COVID-19)
Update to visiting restrictions – 14/09/20. Most visiting remains suspended at Bradford Teaching Hospitals to help keep our patients and staff safe. However, there are exceptions. They apply to:

    • End-of-life care: BTHFT will continue to support end-of-life visits, difficult conversation support, and support carers to attend where the patient needs physical or cognitive support
    • Paediatric wards: Two parents or carers can now swap in and out to visit or stay with children on our paediatric wards
    • Labour Ward and Birth Centre: A birth partner can stay for the duration of labour in our Labour Ward and Birth Centre. This person is not interchangeable. M3 and M4 patients may have one-hour visits at pre-arranged times from 1-5pm – except on the day of discharge – from one dedicated person, the birth partner
    • Prenatal scans: Women will be allowed to have one adult with them for the first dating ultrasound at around 12 weeks. This person should ideally be the birthing partner or from the same household or bubble
    • AED Department supportive visits: One visitor will be allowed to be present where the patient is being treated in the resuscitation area or the High Dependency Unit of the Accident and Emergency Department
    • In addition: In June Bradford Teaching Hospitals reviewed national guidance and introduced visiting for inpatients who have been in hospital for over 21 days. Each patient will have one allocated visitor who can visit for one hour twice a week on most wards – some wards will remain fully restricted to protect our patients and visitors. Please check with the ward before visiting – every visitor must undergo a risk assessment.
A telephone information line is currently taking calls for relatives concerned about inpatients on Ward 4, 20, 31 and A&E. Please call 01274 272747, from 10:15am to 5:30pm (including bank holidays). Click here for more information on the relatives’ telephone information line.

Latest figures: Covid-19 patients in our hospitals
    • Total number tested positive to date – 1,414
    • Total number tested negative to date – 20,282
    • Confirmed COVID-19 patients currently inpatient Trust-wide – 16
    • Confirmed COVID-19 patients discharged (to date) to their usual place of residence or no longer being treated as COVID-19 – 737
    • Confirmed COVID-19 patients currently in ICU – 0
    • Total COVID-19 deaths to date – 267

We knew mate 6 months ago that Winter is Coming - Don't have to watch Games of Thrones to understand that.

So for 6 months the government has failed with the two main measures Testing and Track & Trace.

Unfortunately, I never thought the government had the intentions of letting fans back this year. Until we get more & improved testing plus this world beating track & trace then all measures carried out by the government is a pause or wont fully work.

You can work in an office 40 hours a week, ride on public transport everyday, go for meals and go to the pub but you can’t have 5,000 fans in a 25,000 seater outdoor stadium for 2 hours, with masks on. It absolutely stinks.

Or you can go shooting with 29 other mates no problem at all. I guess it depends if you donate to the tory party or not whether you can do what you want

Gove referred to sporting events in March as a reason for pulling the plug.

No one is suggesting a full 100,000 people turning up for a Cheltenham, or a 50,000 game at Anfield with an away following from Spain.

20% capacity spread out over the stadium is nothing like that.

Funniest thing is, come the harrogate game, people will be packed into pubs watching it on Sky, rather than outside and socially distanced at VP. Complete joke.

Exactly, if anything it’ll just encourage more people to go to the pub, not just for a quick pint before the game either. How is it not seen as safer to be socially distanced in an outdoor stadium. The government are honestly a shambles.

Tell me how do you stop 5,000 people social gathering on the way to the ground in no more than groups of 6 and not mixing with other households ?

Fordy, thanks for the acknowledgement. If you recall I said the season would be cut, you disagreed. I said Harrogate would get promotion, you rubbished me. I said the season with crowds would start 21st November, you laughed. I think now I may be wrong but hey ho.
You see Clubs going under, I agree. We've seen Macc, next up Southend with Oldham and Stevenage the next possibles and Bolton to follow. People I've spoken to in the last months all mention those with Bolton in the same sentence as Bury. But what do I know.

Look, I hold my hands up and admit you were right.

This is worrying times for sport on all levels.

I'm right though that Boris Johnson is a extremely poor leader and hopefully we can get him out because he is ruining this country.
