Fans Back At VP - A Plan

Most of Bradford is still under local lockdown. They relaxed play areas, theatres and gyms etc. But 21 out of 30 wards are still in lockdown.

 

It will all go down now as tests are in short supply even if the problem still exists.

Leeds has been at 70ish for a week which saw us in lockdown but sees them under scrutiny.

The up to date figures have Bolton at over 200 per 100k, Preston, Burnley, Blackburn and Oldham all at over 120 per 100k, then Liverpool and surrounding areas such as Knowsley, St Helens, Wirral and Warrington all around the high 90s.

Bradford are in the high 90s and have far stricter restriction than the Liverpool areas, mainly as the make it up as they go along.

All the top 20 are over 80 per 100k, Bradford had it's draconian measures applied for being at 50 which wouldn't even see you in the top 40.

 

Doesn't that kinda answer the question?

If they applied for measures for being at 50 then it would basically be a national lockdown at this point

Unless things get really bad in an area I think they're going to wait to see what effects the 6 person rule had generally before they spread the local actions and more widely.

 

As the rules have changed unless there was still a massive rate moving them down to national measures should take place.

Ryan Sparkes has just confirmed it will not apply to Bradford because of the Local Lockdown.

Also has no definitive confirmation we can have fans in from 1st October either.

 

We are fecked then.

 

The club have already proved they can not organise seating even to their own rules that they decided on. I think that says it all really about football being capable

I think you might be only looking at Pillar 1+2 figures. They might be misleading on their own. Pillar 2 testing has been increasing erratically so it's positive results should be taken with a big pinch of salt. Pillar 1 testing on its own (NHS) has been more stable recently, though at a low level that makes drawing conclusions harder, but it has not shown the big rise in positives that Pillar 2 has. Pillar 3 and 4 are from the household infection survey used to estimate nationwide prevalence and have also not shown much increase yet, though I'll be surprised if this week's report does not rise. The government will probably have regional data from these, though it will be spread thinly. (That will change as the household survey gets ramped up in coming weeks.) The government will also reference hospital and GP data in making local lockdown decisions - and maybe even 111 call enquiries and internet search data.

Based on this Bradford is down to 17th but not for dropping rates, for others shooting up.
Liverpool looks look it will be hit with a more restrictions, others could possibly given the Bolton treatment, not that it's done any good as what smash through 200.

If I can go to work. I can go to the pub and my daughter can go to school, then it should be our choice if we want to go to the football with a few thousand of us rattling round in a 25k seater stadium.
