    Get those fan trials going. It's falling again if you log by day tested (rather than when processed in lab ages later) and adjust for the increasing number of tests performed. (7-day CMA=continuous moving average)

    Did any of you that bought season tickets REALLY expect to be able to attend matches.
    IMO it was never going to happen, especially when you consider where VP is located.

    I doubt I would actually attend anyway seeing as the whole environment would be so dead with all the restrictions.

    I heard them too.
    The commentators didn't mention anything about it though.
    The stewards mustn't have intervened, hence one of the reasons that covid will love football with spectators.

    I've no idea who this guy is but his key assumption, yes assumption, is that R will level out at 1 and hence his curves.There is however nothing provided to justify his asumption of 1 and it could be higher and the graphs won't therefore plateau and start to fall, they will continue upwards.

    I'll be leaving this to the legions of statisticians, epidemiologists, infection control specialists, virologists, behavioural scientists etc based at the labs and unis around the country who are charged with this responsibility and not somebody with no apparent credentials on Twitter. Fancy foecasts based on a very questionable and fundamental assumption doesn't do the business for me.

    It WAS rising. It does not seem to have risen for 4 or 5 days. Hospital admissions seem to have flattened for a few days, too. That ties in roughly with his charts of testing-adjusted new cases.

    Not asking fans to sing will go the same way as telling players not to celebrate together and shake hands, it'll be a rule that is there but won't get followed or enforced.

    I haven’t seen any national data today, but I understand significant increase in patients on Covid Ward of LGI over past week. I don’t know about BRI or Airedale, but doubt it’s an isolated case.

    What a load of bollocks this really is, this will now kill clubs at our level, below and even higher. The national league said they wouldn't be starting without fans so would expect those clubs to start dropping like flies now.

    No fans outside in covid secure venues but let's pack the shops, supermarkets, restaurants and pubs to high heavens. Had enough of this complete nonsense now.

    As the Government has moved to Level 4 (out of 5) and there is a COBRA meeting on Tuesday, the chances of actually getting to a game this year is probably on a par with winning the Euro Lottery Jackpot.
