If we can’t have fans in the ground at normal capacity then bin it off and scrap next season as well. Football without fans is totally pointless

And clearly not viable outside of the premiership.

That's highly unlikely. The EFL just isn't going to go down that route. The idea that the EFL or even the PL would finance the clubs in that situation is strictly for the birds.

Since some form of social distancing will be with us all for some time, wouldn't it better to have some fans in the ground earning the clubs some money rather than no fans in the ground earning the clubs nothing?

Already talk of the top 7-10 pulling out of the league cup next season which damages league 1 and 2 teams.

I think you are right mate. If we can't get normal capacity then div 1 and 2 might as well forget next season then have a government bailout or money from the EFL..The PL won't issue more money to lower league I doubt.

Interesting. France were extremely quick to end their league with PSG going crazy because they are still in the CL.

France government cancel the football but was quick to say the French Open will be moved to September and the Tour De France is still happening.

This move seems now to get people to their main sporting events in their country which I have mentioned.

Their seems to be more urgency on finding a quick solution to accommodating fans to sporting events. Amidst the gradual easing of lockdown and a certain degree of impatience,I think there will be an unstoppable force to get back to normality for next season. Of course an anti-virus solution would be a major step forward.Think for now ST holders should be allowed access to the stadium and an admission system that allows family members and those travelling together to be seated together. With no away fans present we should be able to control social distancing requirements, whatever that may be. There will have to be a strict 'policing' with regard to movement in and out of the ground with sections released one at a time perhaps. Queues being something to avoid happening..toilets etc a further consideration..but sensibly and responsibly doable imo.

Get Michael Collings - Gary Bowyer or David Hopkins back . The would solve the crowd congestion problems at VP .

If they limit the number of ST going on sale I'm feeling really anxious (regardless of poor football) I want to go watch City!
If they increase the cost of ST how does that work for those that have already paid for theirs?

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-8444285/Barcelona-want-fans-Nou-Camp-JUNE-30-crunch-Atletico-Madrid-clash.html

Insteading read. Barca feel that if restaurants, pubs, cafes etc open then fans should be allowed back in to football stadiums.

Want at least 30k fans into watch their game on the 30th of June against A.Madrid.

I think they have a point and the Spainish president agrees so making the case to government.

Think I feel Barca get their way then I can see the PL following by the end of the season.

Stevenage say they're planning for a return to training on August 1st, with the new season starting mid september. I suspect this is a rough date which is being hinted at by the EFL.

That would match up with the transfer deadline that UEFA want

Yes but the national league won't be starting ahead of the EFL

No it has.. it was delayed due to Macc hearing which has been done now.. Stevenage reported down last week

I just think it's them trying to say they will be up for next season.. i don't think dates are set yet.
