There is an assessor at each game watching the officials maybe the 4th officials mistake was pointed out to him, hence not allowing the Lavery substitution ?.

All the 10 teams above us could have players returning, some will play each other, some will win, they will remain above us, were playing catch up now and we need more wins than those above us to overtake them.

Then of course there's the lack of evidence that we're going to score more than one goal per game or concede less than one.

 

I doubt the concussion excuse would work as Bradford would have been informed they would also gain an extra sub in that scenario.

Also the guy they subbed was seen running round the pitch celebrating after the game.

 

Its all a load of bollocks. How the refs or the lino didn't spot it I don't know. In that case, send both teams through - really mess up the whole competition, just like the inept officials messed up the game.

 

Apparently the subs can only be made in 3 separate occasions during normal time (excluding half time) and then a 4th opportunity during extra time. So the relevance is that Wigan also broke the rules in making subs 3 times during ET.

 

They didn't because they carried over the game stoppages they are allowed by not making subs in the game. What part of it are you struggling to understand?

Exeter did know the rules, their manager references them in his post match interview about 5 subs, they also made 5 subs in the first tie at Valley Parade fully understanding the rules.

The variables you have introduced are very subjective.

At least the xG is calculated for every team from all games played. There’s nothing one dimensional about that at all.

port vale and fgr deserve to be up there. Solid top three contenders.

Barrow and, to a lesser extent, Walsall, have potential to climb into top half and have done better than their results imply.

in terms of overperformers, Exeter, Swindon , Tranmere and Harrogate’s form may not be sustainable. Latter two have stuttered more recently already.

……so as you can see, its only one dimension if you only look at one team. Everything you need is there to make predictions on all teams in the division.

I dont see shots in the box ratios now Mark O’Haire stopped posting them on twitter and uses for his subscription tipster service (run with a city fan incidentally, Tom, who also posts on Oddschecker).

Do you work for xG or something? You're really pushing the cause. Go on then - using xG, can you tell us who will be the likely teams to get promoted via the autos, and those who will make the playoffs? Then perhaps we can sticky that thread somewhere and see if you're right. Hats off if you are.
My doubts over xG, is that cos we're not actually scoring the expected goals, we're going to bring in some new players in January, so does that mean the existing xG rating we've had up until January, gets reset? In which case, what is our predicted position then?

League 1 v League 2 no real difference in quality in most cases so yes I’d say every chance of beating Cambridge.
I agree we don’t actually want the replay though and would prefer to just be put through

 

So all in all, this whole "good point against a top 6 side" is just bollocks. We should actually have beaten some of those teams.
