You do realise that dropping Vaughan for Doyle but playing exactly the same system will result in having even less of a threat upfront front don't you?

The problem isn't Vaughan, just as it wasn't Doyle. The problem is the way we're using whichever striker we play.

Bowyer needs to get Vaughan and other players in the box more. It's not a hard change but he's negative.

Maybe their owner realises the cost and benefits of promotion and believes, correctly, that it's money well spent.

Look, he's showing he can score plenty at this level and if you're serious about going up then he can help you.

He will get a club when his contract runs out for sure.

Look, he will but it won't be the big money move you think he'll get.

    Bigger signing on fee..

At least close to the wages he's on now.

He would be foolish to join Swindon now and we would be foolish not to bring in back for 6 months.

Not quite true. We are in the process of buying the council owned County Ground, 50/50 with Power and the Supporter’s Trust. Power has applied for planning permission for a new training ground just outside the town. Also, an Aussie businessman has bought 15% of the club and injected cash.

If we’ve got the money - and the recent signings of 3 OOC players seem to suggest we do - we’re way below the wage cap. £6m turnover with an initial playing budget of around £2m.

It would be senseless for the loan agreement to continue. We either buy him or you get him back.

All sounds positive but you'd go mad if he came back to us just because it's costing you to pay a loan fee for a player that isn't yours. The cost of paying him would be recruted if you get promoted with his goals.

I totally agree. The problem for fans of both clubs is that we see the situation as black and white.

We say ‘Power, get your wallet out’

You say ‘Bring him back to score goals for us’

I’d imagine for both owners - cos it’ll be them who sort it out - it’s nowhere near as cut and dried as that.

We, fans of both clubs, don’t really know the financial situation of FFP regulations.

7 games until Jan, make it 8 because it's doubtful there will be anything in place to come back and be ready for game on Jan 1st at home to Morecambe when he will have been training with Swindon, and then it's Swindon away on Jan 4th. Balls on GB would be massive to recall him before that and start him.

In all seriousness, even if he did come back and be happy to do so, i still feel Bowyer would have to alter the forwards play to get the best out of everyone who has played up top this season. Far too often, Donaldson or Vaughan seem to do most of their work when they are 25-30 yards from goal, with back to goal trying to bring down something chest height or above, to try feed in the midfield. Doyle doesn't appear to even contemplate touching the ball until he's facing goal and in the box at Swindon from the videos of his goals so far.

From what our club has said, there is a short window of time in January - a few days at the start - whereby you have to have made whatever decision you’ve come to. Obviously, that’s to allow us time to sort out a replacement if he returns to Bradford.

Please both clubs are nowhere near FFP regs.

Both clubs are on the claiming they're poor route and this is why nonsense like this comes out.

Swindon have money.. Bradford have money.

Now fact is Swindon mugged Bradford off in a nice way.

Bradford need to mug Swindon off by getting back Doyle in a nice way.

Hopefully, clubs go up and we both win.

I can’t see how we mugged you off. Nobody knew Doyle would turn out so prolific.

You were happy to get shot of his wages - or whatever % we are paying - and we took a chance he’d work out. If we are, indeed, paying the vast majority of his salary, that’s a big financial risk for our club.

He could have turned out to be Oleg McNoleg!

If you stay around you'll understand Fordy's slight overraction of things.

Mugged off basically means turned him back into the player he wasn't with us.

You've Jewell as a director and your owner is an ex player. Both have connections to Bradford City and both ex players.

The point is you don't need an A level coaching badge to understand that Doyle does his best work in the box. Doyle was our leading goalscorer last season but Bowyer had him playing as a 10 & a 9. Vaughan is playing as a 10, 8 and 9 this season.

Power, Jewell are no mugs they would of seen Bradford loads.

You cried you have no money and Rhodes is desperate to work with his break even balance sheet that we were easy pickings.

Doyle was always going to score goals at this level if played right.

How does that equate to Swindon mugging us off? Hardly mugging someone of by playing them correctly!!!

Rhodes is as transparent as his balance sheet.

He got played mate. Call it what you want but we look silly but luckily we can change it.

Swindon have football people around them and we should of known that they would be a major rival this season and you don't do your rivals favours.

It's no coincidence that Doyle got 16 goals in 34 appearances on loan at Oldham a couple of seasons back, Oldham manager then RICHIE WELLANS
