We are a third of the way through the window and I hope there will be further developments. We could do with sending our surplus midfielders our on loan, returning at least one of our loanees and bringing a couple in. Alan Nixon is remarkably quiet at the moment and not many rumours doing the rounds.

 

I'm glad he's quiet at the moment because he posts waffle.

It's been a fun few months hasn't it watching all this unfold and still anticipate a few more twists. I personally think he will stay with you guys now until the end of the season with about 200 rumours between now and then.

Lets for a moment stand back and look at the larger picture, a footballer has a limited time in the professional game , during this period he will look to maximise his income .
All this club loyalty --- i want to play for team XYZ is basically crap . Doyle will want 1 last payday in the future , it doesent matter who he plays for really if he continues to show the form he's had so far this season it will make his next move / contract more lucrative , he will try his hardest what ever shirt he wears .
Maybe a cynical view , but i think players show more loyalty to their bank balance than clubs or fans .
iv'e no doubt Doyle will try to continue to achieve the form thats created all this interest . Like i said i see no problems with Doyle and his onfield attitude .

 

I'm be amazed if Doyle is still at city in two weeks time.

Back at bradford for now ... in the shop window, he has No desire and is open with his feelings.

Cash in then buy another striker whilst still in the January transfer window

Doyle doesn't care where he's playing football, he is probably absolutely wetting his knickers that he is 31 and just scored 23 goals in 22 games and in need of a longer contract at his age at the end of the season.

 

Unless Swindon buy him he isn't going anywhere.

 

186 pages and over 3500 posts on a player half of you didn't want at the start of the season. Embarrassing.

Swindon cannot afford to pay his wages never mind a fee. They’re just talking a good game. Pittman has said he wants to stay at Pompey which suggests Swindon were offering him peanuts. All they can afford is the loan market. Swindon are the least of our worries. In fact we don’t have any worries. We’re calling the shots.
