I can't help feeling we have recalled Doyle to force Swindon's hand, not sure he will be here at the end of the month.
    Hope I'm wrong.

Baton now over to Bowyer, management team and players to provide Doyle (and our other forwards) the service they need to score goals.

Doyle has proved to some who doubted him after last season, with an element of reasoning, that when used properly he’s a quality player at this level. His current form is no fluke IMO. Absolutely essential we step up and utilise our assets in the right way. I feel Doyle needs to prove himself to us that he is dedicated to the club and show the quality and passion that we’ve seen him demonstrate at Swindon. Equally, and perhaps more importantly, we as supporters need to prove ourselves to him, that he has our full support.

Agree with others, Donaldson plays a huge role in support to Doyle and Vaughan. His work rate and contribution was massively under appreciated by many on here.

As well as McCartan, we have a front four as good as many clubs in league one - we now have start using them properly!

Doubt 1 goal will give him 6 months wages.

He might want to play games.

If his crosses end up with a city player then that's literally all he can do, thatbwoukd be a success from the crossers point of view. If those players don't score it isn't his fault he's played his part. So, somebody like doyle in there who can finish those chances will surely relish that?

Been reading a few Swindon Town fans comments and noted there are one or two of the same opinion. I.e. we recall Doyle to terminate original loan deal and force their hand to either pay 100% of his wages in a new loan deal or squeeze a transfer fee out of them for his permanent signature.

Interesting line of thought and one I hope does not turn out to be true. Keep here I say.

Yep, I hated the Premier League and that European tour. I'd much rather be in the shitpool having to google where the f*** Forest Green is.

We would have been in the same position as now but with a 36,000 seater stadium. Happy days.

I hope people aren't expecting Doyle to walk back into the team and continue his goalscoring form. He's going to be deflated, in the form of his life then has to start again with a different team, different players, different tactics etc. I can see fans in the stadium turn on him pretty quickly when the goals don't continue to flow.

Not proper football m8, a few real in some obscure unknown village backwater, that's living the dream. That or a trip to Elland Road or Old Trafford.

Just can’t see it happening, unless the offer was too good to refuse, which I will be shocked if Swindon come up with it.

Unless they are waiting for funds to come in from elsewhere, it’s of no benefit to them to hold off submitting a bid.

Think this is a legitimate risk and as mentioned in another post, is why we as supporters have to back him and almost get him to feel like he wants to run through walls for us. Likewise, he needs to prove an element to us, but needs the rights service and support from his players and manager to do so.

Why be so negative? We are a good, solid side. We might not be the most adventurous in the league but we are one of the better teams in an awful league.

Don't forget Doyle took part in all of the teambuilding exercises put on in the summer and did his pre-season here. He knows the core of the side already. If Anthony O'Connor can turn it around from a bad first season (and is arguably our POY this year) then Doyle certainly can.

The crucial things are a) Bowyer never wanted Doyle to leave in the first place (finances dictated it) and b) Bowyer has kept in touch with Doyle and maintained a positive relationship with him during his loan spell.

He'll tear it up and help us to promotion. Have some faith.

Off to the bookies for the third time today to have some more on us.

Dont know about this, why would they go after pittman? Or even recall him in the first place? I dont think swindon think we are that nieve. Lasty bowyer said "We look forward to seeing him scoring goals for us" so im not sure!

The historical debt would have been much bigger. We might have gone under.

I don’t think there’d be half the fanfare from the club and Simon Parker etc if he wasn’t gonna be here for the rest of the season. Would be idiotic to then sell him 2 weeks later. But you never know with us.

We came crashing back down because of Richmond over-reaching. But without him, we'd never have got there in the first place.

Doyle has a unique opportunity to be Europe’s leading goal scorer and win himself a great contract with some club next year. He’s not going to down tools out of pique that he’s been recalled. He’ll try his best and it’s up to us to provide the chances for him. I feel optimistic.

The situation would have ended the same, just others would have lost more money. We would have just ended up with a bigger stadium out of it.
