Palmer and Reeves have been poor!

This Reeves love in neeeds to stop because I am concerned that people don't go to Bradford City to watch the game. He does nothing that me or you can't do. Bloody Mr Sideways!

Palmer has just been disappointing.

Devitt needs to come back. Cooke needs to be back in the team.

Evidence please? Couldn't be further from a number 10 if you tried. His game is about being in the box attacking the ball. The whole issue of the last month or so has been Vaughan being asked to drop deep for the ball. We need him on the Defenders shoulder making a nuisance of himself in and around the box. We don't need him on the ball in and around the halfway line.

 

Forget about defending? Pretty sure that won't happen under Bowyer.

Reeves and Palmer are both defensive midfielders. They're not battling midfielders, but both play in that deeper role. As does Devine. I don't especially rate Devine, and I certainly don't rate Akpan or Anderson. I'd happily trade all 3 for a proper midfield enforcer. I agree its a gap.

Striker was a gap and if Doyle stays, then great.

No, Ismail isn't out for the rest of the season. But he's only been available for around half our games so far and I believe has a record of being either available or good for 1 game in 3. He's also better on the right than left, as is Connolly. Pritchard is better centrally than on the left. I want us to be ruthless and go for automatic proper. We struggle to create chances, so getting in a proper, quality left winger doesn't seem a stretch.

Striker (Done, if Doyle stays), left winger and defensive midfielder was my wish list. Right back would be nice, but don't think its essential this season. Keep Devitt, Cooke and Palmer (though he hasn't ripped up trees). Send Oteh back. Try and find takers for Akpan and Anderson.

Let them off the leash. Job done. Auto's nailed.

 

He has in the past played as a second striker and also as an attacking midfielder but these appearances have been few and far between.

Shay may have bought himself another 6 months with that equaliser.

 

Scannel was a huge earner departed after Doyle. If that useless get had of gone first, Doyle may have stayed.

Re trying to fit DVD all into one team, the chances are we will need to rotate players anyway. Donaldson draws a lot of fouls and at his age, will take longer to recover. He's returning from an absence as it is. Vaughan is a fully committed player who will pick up bookings and there may be games when he also needs a break as he is the closest thing to a battering ram we have in the side. It just means now in all those games when we used Oteh or Connolly, or adjusted the formation because of a lack of strikers (some other times it was Bowyer's choice, true) then we now have the highest scorer in Europe to play instead. It can only make us stronger.

I just hope all the muppets lay off with their criticism. We know how idiotic football fans are in general and how stubborn and blinkered they are. Many made their minds up Doyle was useless after the end of last season and they are too proud to admit he's been in great form for Swindon and confirmed what many sensible fans said in the summer - Doyle would run riot in this division. I don't think it will take longer than the first game though. Any sign of a wayward shot and the muppets will be out in force again. Thankfully it is away from home for his return game so he'll be surrounded be fewer idiots than at VP.

 

Definitely not. For me it should be a pairing up front and all 3 could expect some rotation over the season.
