You don’t have to understand it’s a democracy and I’ll be exercising my right not to bother, the leaders of each party are a joke who spend more time point scoring than making votable policies.

And then you see the comments from Rees-Mogg (and Baroness Lawrence) in relation to the Grenfell disaster and you wonder why people like myself refuse to vote. The whole f*cking house of commons is rotten to the core. I'm sick of seeing examples every single day about how out of touch with the electorate the whole political spectrum is. I don't think i'd ever tire of punching the face of Rees-Mogg.

Non of them reflect my views, I can’t speak for Rog. That’s the whole point, I’d find it hypocritical to vote for someone on the basis of them being the least worst outcome. If people refused to vote on mass it would send out a far bigger message than just meekly voting for the status quo. The only way the political system will ever change is if people say enough, but sadly they won’t do the politicians who don’t give a toss about me or you can continue to ride the gravy train.

I’ll moan whoever gets in for the simple fact I don’t think any of them are worthy to run this country. Someone at work today talked about voting for a least worst case scenario, then said it’d be good if it were a Labour coalition with the Greens and SNP I nearly fell off my seat.

And then Tory MP Andrew Bridgen compounds the insult by defending Rees Mogg's comments. Same old, nasty Tories, always defending the indefensible and sneering at ordinary folk.

    No he didnt

He ended his statement with "IF" here is a quote "I would hate to upset the people of Grenfell IF I was unclear in my comments" so he wont admit he was unclear. IF i was unclear not I was unclear.

How did you as a bradfordian end up apologising for a man who thinks raped women shouldnt be allowed abortions, defended Britains use of concentration camps and now has said the people of Grenfell were too thick to save their own lives.

His ego must grow and grow when the commoners he looks down on back him up to the hilt.

Everybody and their dogs know that Scotland would be stuffed if they left the union, I cannot get my head around what her motives could be, the EU could never subsidise Scotland to the same extent that you or I do through our taxes....

Corbyn's mantra has always been simple: "You cannot pursue peace by a cycle of violence" and the only way to end violence is with communication. This often results in him being pictured with terrorists, attending wreath-laying's he shouldn't really be at etc, which I personally think Is a naive thing to do in his position, but people like you don't half get the wrong end of the stick. It's the equivalent of calling Trump a terrorist sympathiser because he had a meeting with Kim Yong un and had lunch with him. Just imagine for a moment it was Jeremy Corbyn in that position instead of your hero: The media twist we would see, the mass outrage that would occur, the gullible folk lapping it up and of course the stark difference in your reaction.

There's a very simple reason I didn't respond to your original post. You weren't calling Corbyn an advocate for peace when he was openly against bombing Syrian's in their homes, neither were you calling the nut jobs who thought it was a good idea exactly what they were- which were terrorist sympathisers. You get on your high horse when it comes to telling to me XYZ about Corbyn (most of which is misplaced) but your moral compass clearly takes a hit when it comes to discussing Tory policy and right wing racists who advocate sexual assault. Very little in the way of your opinion is actually consistent. There is no objectivity involved. You just pick a side that fits your own political agenda and are adamant that anyone who disagrees with you "needs to give their heads a big shake". 99% of your opinions are based on what you read in the press, and you'll carry on believing the bullshit served to you until the day you die.

I dont get the wrong end of the stick.

Corbyn has been in league with both the IRA and Hamas.

McDonnell openly stated that Bobby Sands should have been honoured. He worships Lenin, Stalin and Mao Tse Tung.

They have both openly said that they admired how Venezuela was governed.

Neither of these dangerous politicians should get the chance to run our country.

You say I get my information from the media, where else am I going to get information?

Where on earth have you got this from? McDonnell has cited Lenin and Trotsky as significant influences on him. No real surprise there, given his socialist views, since Lenin and Trotsky were both very clever men and both were deep thinkers and erudite writers. But Stalin and Mao Tse Tung? I don't think so.
McDonnell has Marxist views about the class system and capitalist economics. But that's a very long way from being a Communist who advocates violent revolution to gain power and ruthless suppression of all dissent, including genocide, to hold onto it, as Mao and Stalin practised.
It's perfectly possible to hold a Marxist analysis of how capitalist society works without supporting totalitarian Communist dictators like Stalin and Mao.
McDonnell has worked within our parliamentary democracy for 22 years as an MP, and before that as a very successful Chair of Finance for the GLC and as a local councillor. As far as I'm aware he's never been a member of the Communist Party, or the SWP, or the RCP, or any of the other nut job far left parties in the UK. He's always been a democrat and prepared to work within our political system to argue for a fairer society.
Both Corbyn and McDonnell have flaws and have made questionable statements and alliances in the past. But the suggestion that they are some kind of covert communist threat to our society is a hysterical overreaction, akin to calling Boris Johnson a Nazi, which he clearly isn't, because he's on the right of our political spectrum.

The level of political discourse in the UK press is pretty shallow, mostly sensationalist and, in the case of newspapers, heavily dominated by billionaire owners who caricature anyone slightly left of the Tories as dangerous reds under the beds. If all you rely on is the mainstream media then you will be getting a heavily skewed viewpoint.

So I gather from your reply Nigel is not on your Christmas card list.
I'd say for us brexiteers what Farage has done can only help the cause, if it gets the Tories an unassailable majority I couldn't care less.
The remainer's played their cards during the last 3 years and tried to make sure brexit didn't happen, I believe after the 12 December they will regret not voting for Mays deal.
I'm not sure Boris will be happy with the deal he has, if they get returned with a large majority he just might go back to Brussels and demand a better deal with his ACE up his sleeve if no movement by the EU negotiators he might just play it..

Goodmorning all , proof if needed that the whole political system in this country is broken . A Conservative government in power who most dont like , Labour should walk this election but they wont . Momentum run the labour party , they promote the politics of envy , isn't it great that at election time they all crawl out from under their rocks and promise this- that - and the other . It was once said " that if votes really counted the political elite would cancel them " . The whole point of the 2016 was to put the EU question once and for all out of the spotlight . The referendum went the " wrong way " and came as a shock to all the political parties . A genie was let out of the bottle , it will never go back in . A major change is required , this country i'm affraid will never be te same again which is really sad . Be careful what you vote for , you may just get it .

I have never been asked in a poll, ever.
Anyone else on here that has been polled?

It will be the same people that get surveyed, and they keep coming back to the slow learners.

    Polls = Bollox!

How do you make the leap from people suggesting she's not very bright to those comments being racist?
