The state and politicians in charge of Broadband? Those who remember the last time it was nationalised and the absolute mess it was will shudder at the thought of it been only one supplier again run by incompetent untouchable civil servants , And of course it would begin free but would quite quickly have to be paid for again to raise money or offset its running costs, Gullible is not the word for this policy/con trick
BTW if you have a private or works pension this policy puts it at risk, The plan is to buy Openreach which is owned by the big pension providers to provide pensions not by paying cash so your pension provider can reinvest it on your behalf to keep your pension viable, But no the plan is to swap the shares for a created government bond which will end up a junk bond and will never pay a dividend that could pay your pension, McDonnell nearly bankrupted the Greater London Council when in charge of finances, Now he is going one better and trying to bankrupt the whole country,Brackenrigg, Tony Wilkinson and Idlebantam like this. -

Jeremy Corbyn is unelectable. I honestly cannot believe some folk think he will win the general election and become our PM.
These folk are residing in bubbles and echo chambers, where everybody is convincing themselves that the Tories are unfit for purpose and Labour have workable policies, no issues with antisemitism and leaders we can look up too and trust - Corbyn, McDonnell and Abbott. All 3 are tdeluded and under their 'soft, caring lefty demeanour' are dangerous communists at heart.
The country is safer in Tory hands, they are far from perfect but I trust them with the economy and immigration. Two extremely important factors. I also trust them with the NHS (look at NHS Wales or Mid Staffs for how Labout run the NHS) - it is shameful for Corbyn to keep banging that same drum about it been sold off to Trump. Utterly shameful.
Hoki Koki Corbyn as PM
McDonnel as Chancellor
Dianne Abbacuss as Home Secretary

Under this government we've seen a rise in poverty, rise in household debt, rise in food banks, cuts to schools, cuts to the NHS, cuts to the polic force, Surestart centres closed, libraries closed, etc etc and there are some that believe they have our best interests at heart?
The fact that many of us are fortunate enough to live comfortable lives in the way of opportunities, good healthcare etc are down to policies that were brought in several decades ago, not because Theresa May revolutionised British politics.Amber, Hoochy-Min and Craven Cottager like this. -
