yep. If they are one of the games picked then they would block them, but they only have less than 40 games for the year. Will be interesting to see if they block them across the whole world or just in the country that is showing them

It's that little caveat in the second paragraph that bothers me: "... where matches are not being broadcast exclusively...". It suggests that a fan subscription might be less important than a Polish subscription sports channel that need to fill a gap on an internationals weekend. This used to happen to me even if the City game wasn't actually shown.

It is the bit for the Americas where that company has the right to sell all the games which in theory could take the game off iFollow but it would depend if it only takes it off the country they sell it in.

biggest worry would be IF we got to play offs and they took them off as they have the rights to them

I got a deal last October 500Mbps for £23, Virgin who I was with wanted to increase 250Mbps to £52, BRSK also offer 900Mbps, as I say no problems so far.

My son has the 900Mbps service for £32 a month. He does a fair bit of gaming and has no problems at all.

I was talking to one of the lads putting the main cables in prior to new cables to individual houses and he previously worked for Virgin, my contract was up and they kept sending reminders out, he told me to ignore them as they would not cut me off but obviously until BRSK could install their cables I was having to pay the £52/month, couldn't believe how cooperative they were when I told them I was leaving, I've been with them since the days of Yorkshire Cable back in 2004, they will certainly give Virgin a bit of competition, saw another poster on the side of a telegraph pole and its a new company called "Gain" who are setting up in the area.

If I’m not mistaken, the whole idea behind the iFollow service, was to allow overseas fans to watch games. Covid opened it up to domestic fans. Seems weird if they are gonna still keep it on for us ex pats. Or will it be the Sky stream rebranded? But from what I understand, City won’t be on every week, so does that mean iFollow cameras will be at games JUST for the benefit of overseas fans? That’s not going to be financially viable.
As I’ve said before, I’m switching to a DFS next season anyway, but I’ll be interesting to see the new iFollow charges with this new format.

the cameras used are not special cameras for iFollow.. they are the ones used for the TV coverage so that will stay the same.

From what I understand club streaming will remain for international viewers with the only change being Pitch International have bought some exclusive rights to see around the world and them matches won't be available on the club streaming platform. Sky's deal in effect buys the rights to domestic iFollow. The camera used for iFollow is the main camera for EFL & club highlights and for clubs to analyse matches so that will remain.

Got an email yesterday entitled "We're sorry to see you leave" from info@diceplatform.com. It says 'per your request' my membership has been cancelled, as of 01/07/2024. I made no such request but presumably it's to do with the new Sky EFL agreement. I was under the impression that ifollow would continue next year for international subscribers. Does anyone know more about this?

I had the same. I haven’t cancelled. I’ve got a rolling subscription but my card has expired. Presumed that’s why I got the email, but thought it strangely worded if so.

As I understand it, iFollow will continue to be broadcast in international markets quite separately from the new Sky deal for the domestic market.

However, it wouldn't surprise me at all of a new batch of distributors, local to their country's market, haven't also been appointed. It's likely that unbeknown to you or the club or even the EFL that diceplatform.com were previously your local distributor and now the distribution rights may have gone to a new one. Whatever was your contractual relationship with diceplatform, it's now lapsed. It's inconvenient for current subscribers but there doesn't appear to be a problem for you to re-sign with iFollow via the club and via the EFL to whoever is the new distributor.

Seems like you might be right, Dennis. Decided to reply to the email and got this response:

"Please be assured that your current access to the service will not be affected and you will be able to use your subscription until the end of the season.

You will receive further correspondence regarding subscriptions for the 2024/25 season shortly."

I wouldn't be surprised to see a price increase as well.

Do they do a phone service as well. I am with TalkTalk who supply a router with phone socket so my phone is active via the fibre connection and calls charged by TalkTalk
