Great for lower leagues, going from a shared deal worth a combined 20 games for L1&2 to 248 games each per season.

So to take up the Champ allowance, they often air every midweek fixture, 3 or 4 times a year, so that can take up a chunk of the allowance. I reckon that will be a thing for our leagues where all 12 midweek games get aired 3 or 4 times a season.

In theory it should be about 20 games per team

No more ifollow though. I think we might lose out there.
Our supporter numbers meant ifollow was a big advantage over other clubs.

Not so great for fans when games get moved to a Friday or Monday night. Also clubs will be losing out on iFollow money from midweek and others rounds of fixtures where they can show games in iFollow domestically

Hope they continue to employ Andy Kiwomya.

I quite like the rustic approach of ifollow, rather than the slicker sky sports offer.

but our tv income will rise by 25%, so maybe that will offset the loss from UK based ifollow video coverage, which was only for midweek and bank holiday matches, plus international weekends.

But every League 2 team will have an increased income from TV rights. The ifollow benefited us as we had more fans paying £10, than anyone else in the division.

If 5000 watched the Crewe game on ifollow, that's £50k.

Total iFollow income for 21/22 was £180k. Extra 25% is about £120k.

We'll have earned much more from it this season as we've been a lot better on the pitch.

Not convinced to be honest, will wait for the figures but would be surprised if your guess of 5,000 for Crewe is anywhere near right.

I think Swindon will have been close to that too.
I'd be surprised if we didn't do £300k for the season.

5,000 is very high considering our highest in 20/21 was 3,000 and what was when you couldn't go to matches. A lot of people will watch on IPTV or have more than 1 person watching on 1 pass.

We'll have 22,000 there on Monday and only 2000 were at Crewe. That leaves 20,000 who could have watched the match on iFollow, along with supporters from other clubs Mansfield, Stockport & Northampton.

On the occasions I’m not at match I’ll pay for ifollow (and again for my kids if they’re not with me), but I’m in the minority I think as most people are savvy enough to find streams nowadays.
I’ll be surprised if the figures are anywhere near that

Just another example of the money ruining the fan experience.
There will be less people in stadiums if more games are on TV, especially if we have stupid kick off times like Crawley or Exeter on a Friday night.

Nor do I want loads of home games moving away from traditional Saturday 3pm as we’ve seen the effect of that with many fans simply not attending midweek games.
