From what has been said it's a clause in his contract and everyone else (apart from Platt and Chapman) that the club have a year option that they can activate if they want. If it is that then the player has no say over it as they already agreed to it at the time of signing the current contract. What I would image is that especially for players like Pointon they have clauses that either mean a yearly wage rise or the contract increases after x amount of games.

1 win in 13 in the league since they beat us and Morecambe knocked them out of the fa cup at home

Both ties should be live on Sky so if they are then both sides get £20,000 facility fee for the semi final so brings our money earnt from this so far to £180,000 with another potential £100,000 to add if we were to go all the way.

Both sides will be looking at this as a winnable tie and a great chance to get to Wembley. It's also a chance for both sides to have a little bit of success in what has been a poor season for both.

    Wycombes run so far:
    • Topped their group with 3 wins (1-0 v Palace u21s, 1-0 v Stevenage(A) and 1-0 Wimbledon (H)
    • Round of 32 they beat Fulham u21s 3-2
    • Last 16 they beat West Ham u21s 2-1
    • Quarter Finals they beat Brighton u21s 4-1
So they've not faced a senior team since the group stages and have had an even easier run to the semi finals than we have. It will be interesting to see what type of side they play as they are still in a relegation fight. From their game last weekend they made 5 changes for their game against Brighton on Wednesday. In between our game they've got 2 tough games with Oxford (H) and Stevenage (A).

3 of their 4 new signings will be eligible which are Matt Butcher (CM from Plymouth), Saxton Earley (LB from Plymouth) and Nigel Lonwijk (CB from Wolves).

A crowd of just 3,642 turned up for the FA Cup defeat surely we can beat that for a semi final.
There again the apathy associated with this tournament would suggest a small home crowd with not many in attendance from Wycombe they only managed 769 at home against West Ham U21s

They barely brought any for an fa cup game on a weekend so I’d imagine they’ll bring less than 100 for a long midweek away game in a tinpot cup.

They brought 250 for the FA Cup so if they bring half of that I'd say that's a good number. For their home games so far in the competition they've had attendances of 442, 664, 323, 881 and then 769 for their 1/4 final. They only took 96 to their away game at Stevenage in the groups so probably if we are to beat the FA Cup crowd it will need 3,500 home fans to have any chance. As it will be on TV I think they will put some off and it's not whoever gets through you'll need a stub from this game to get a ticket to the final so even less incentive to go if you are 50/50.

Wow I forgot all about the draw but your correct of those left in the hat I'd have wanted Wycombe at home.
