We're going to lose Pointon. I cannot see what point GA is trying to make to be continually overlooking Pointon especially with Odour.
BP will be off at the end of the Season and I wouldn't blame him one bit.
I'm not expecting him to start every game and especially when Walker & Pattison are fit, but not sure what Odour has done at all in his short Bantams career to be given so much time on the pitch.

 

McDonald had another good, composed game with great passes to actual City players. Hope Smallwood never plays for us again. Offers nothing to the team at all.

 

On tonight's showing Smallwood should be on the bench, McDonald should start had a good game simple passes all positive.

 

Played well. So much better today. I know its only Donny, who are dire, but Young looked a constant threat. Richards was MOM bombing on. McDonald held his own. Chapman took goal well.

its a nice distraction from the league horror show. Well done lads.

Two massive WUMs at each other!

 

It’s a very lucrative competition for City and if the fans want to boycott that’s their choice, but there’s been some good performances from City this season. Still a chance of taking my 9 year old Grandson to Wembley.

 

Kiwomya is bang on why arent we bringing fresh legs on.

 

I was disinterested in this game but then came across the info that Smallwood is banned due to two yellow cards.

I'd like to see McDonald get a go and let's see if his passing can make an impact.

I'm sick of Smallwood and his "no-look" passes and "round the corner" chips into no one and general hoofs up the pitch.

He really has been an underwhelming signing for me. I was hoping for a much stronger impact from a championship midfielder dropping down into league two.

I'm hoping McDonald puts on a good performance and then GA keeps him in the team and Smallwood on the bench for a while.

 

I am so pissed off with the starting line up. Why didn’t that team start at Swindon!?! Extremely frustrating

 

He made some very good comments IMO about how Alexander failed to use his subs.

 

Well done but my care cup is empty. Just cant get motivated for a tinpot trophy when we are so shite laying in the doldrums.

No doubt the club will overplay this to try and sway the narrative.

 

If we get there I’ll be taking my 4 year old, He’s seen 4 games so far, 2 wins & 2 draws so I like to think he’s a lucky talisman!

 

I’m glad we won. I hope we get to the final. Not much prospects on the horizon to take my son for the first time to Wembley other that this competition, so fingers crossed we make it. Don’t care that it’s a tin pot trophy, it’s the chance of treating the younger to new experiences that’s important.

 

Actually enjoyed that game tonight for a change, nice to finally go home with a win (wasn’t our last win against donny too coincidentally??)

Kev Mac has to be a starter from now on, balls to smallwood. He was great tonight. Gilliead, Halliday, chapman, and young all played well too. Thought donny were a very poor team and we should have put them to bed well before cooks sending off

Let’s hope it’s another home tie next

 

Some great performances last night.

I haven't seen Platts name mentioned much, but for me he was solid and his passing was great for a centre back. He has to start Saturday.

Richards, ran himself into the ground. Has a decent turn of pace and willing to get balls in the box.

Mcdonald- Steady away. Has to start next game. Much better than Smallwood.

Chapman- Better second half, the free kick was great.

Young- Ran himself into the ground and looked dangerous.

 

Wycombe at Home. The best possible draw.

 

I shall be there and looking forward to it, only a minor trophy but Cloughie started by winning the Texaco trophy.

 

Can't wait for this! Setting off in 5 mins for s couple of pints in oddfellows on the way over from harrogate.

Come on city! Let's get to wembley

 

Id love Jamie Raynor to ask GA outright, what do we all see in Bobby Pointon that you don’t?

Pointon has a hell of a lot of development to do IMO, but he offers something we have very little of in the squad and I really don’t understand why he gets so little game time under GA.
