    That’s nonsense,the prize money alone is worth far more than the league cup. We got £40,000 for beating Derby in the last round, £20,000 just for entering and £10,000 per win in the group stage. Far more than the costs of floodlights catering etc.

    The clubs get any losses reimbursed so they don't lose any money then on top of that they get decent prize money. So far we have got £110,000 in prize money with a further potential £150,000 if we win and TV money from the semi final.

    i am also from the Eccleshill Area.
    Spent many an hour in the Hare and hounds or the Green Man in Undercliffe, mates dad was landlord of the green man, so we got beer on the cheap. Swing gate and lane ends as well.
    Most pubs in the area are long gone now though.
    Lots of time in the Roebuck further down from Oddys, when the kids came along, it had a good family room.

    Block C of the main stand has finally gone to limited availability with Block D about 50% sold so could maybe push 3000 if Doncaster bring 500

    Can't remember the landlord really but knew quite a few people who used the roebuck or the seven stars and many more from the station up the road
