I'd argue Smith's work rate and press is better.than Youngs and as such is a good fit for Cook. I guess there's always an opening in terms of form and potential injury but Cook and Smith seem to be gelling well.

As it stands he ain't guaranteed game time which he is at Swindon. I don't see it being a problem, merely an observation that a guy freely scoring will more than likely be sat on the bench. A unique situation as no player with that scoring record would move to another club and not be guaranteed a start.

 

Gotta feel for Pointon, well done the pecking order in this formation. If GA makes.this his goto formation, which look pretty likely, I can't see where he gets game time. A loan move in January might be beneficial for him where he has a good chance of getting more minutes.

 

Still a long way to go but it's far easier on the eye than watching Hughes style of football, I commented similar with regards both the players and fans enjoying the occasion on the final whistle long may it continue.

 

GA hasn't tried to reinvent the wheel. Getting the ball forward quicker allows us to play off the front foot allowing our wing backs to get out of their own half. Playing a three man midfield has made Smallwood the influencer we thought we'd bought and Smith upfront takes a massive work load off of the now firing again Cook. From being utterly painful under Hughes we now look like a pack of hunters. The transformation with the same players is nothing short of remarkable.

I think they would need to be of the same standard as the man they are covering. I trust GA on this. He will not sacrifice the team to give minutes to players who can’t get in the team. I am not expecting the usual January tbh.

He was injured. That was clear when he was walking past me.

What a great time to be a bantam, yes we have achieved nothing as yet, but i have more confidence in G A than Mark Hughes. He knows this league and how to make it work.
As i said in another thread the matches up to and including Crawley are all winable, Stockport probably the hardest, but we are at home and in form.
The new year could be very promising, roll on Boxing day, we should be well up for it after over 4 weeks away from VP.
