Again, it's just a load of sweeping generalisations.
I've nothing to come back with because you're not actually making any reasonable or valid points.

I'm in an age category where I am more likely to die getting run over while going for a run then I am of COVID. I live with another roommate who is my age. If we want to go to the pub why shouldn't we be able to? The idea of the lockdown was to stop the NHS from getting overrun. Its time people were allowed to make their own choices about things.Bantam 760 and Salty like this. -

Out in Leeds for the first time yesterday. Weird experience to be honest, more like a Monday afternoon than a Friday night but everyone seemed to be behaving sensibly.

I went to Leeds to watch the footy, have a few beers and then something to eat. It was absolutely fine and not all that crowded as all you softies stayed at home and made up excuses.

You can't have a place where people go to get drunk and which the pubs won't dare turn around and go 'You have had 2 we are cutting you off as it's even more socially irresponsible letting you get drunk than normal' in a bloody pandemic. It's maybe less of an issue for ones which have an outside area and who can then run a table service and not let customers inside because transmission is less likely outdoors but the simple fact is the R rate is rising, we have one city already back on lockdown, multiple others including Bradford close to joining them. It's one thing opening-up places where people are going to be in possession of their own common sense but not places where that common sense is diluted by the effects of alcohol.Stop hovering to collapse... There's so much contradiction in the guidance that it makes no sense whatsoever. Young kids are allowed to go to school 5 days a week and play with 8 other kids and a couple of teachers but can't give their grandad a cuddle. -
I played golf and had a couple of pints after -it was a sad, sterile experience, you could almost say desperate.
But just seen the news and it looked a proper night out down Soho!
