Covid & Covid Passports - Rules & Logistics for City matches?

I have complete faith in the vaccine to greatly lower my chances of being infected. But I have no way of knowing whether I am one of the significant minority for whom the vaccine does not work effectively. And, at 65, and fit and healthy, my immune system is much less robust than that of an unhealthy 40 year old. So I don't see why my chances (and those of other older or vulnerable people) of catching Covid should be increased, or my social activities limited, because some people won't reduce their potential transmissibility by getting vaccinated.

As for children, I've said several times on here that I don't think that vaccinating kids should be our strategy. We'd have greater impact by donating any spare vaccines to other countries to lower worldwide incidence.

 

Locking down millions of people, on the back of 75 cases 2 years into a pandemic isn't a reflection of a system that's working well, in my opinion.

 

Have you noticed whenever a media narrative wants to score brownie points we are always compared to either Australia or Scandinavia. Because we're just like them aren't we......

 

As for passports! Go do one!

Why is this in BCFC section? I'm sick to death of reading about this in day to day news. It's everywhere. I find reading about City a refreshing escape.

 

Maybe you would if you were in the football section and thought it had something remotely to do with gaining entry to up coming City matches. Just a thought.

 

If i read through all 246 posts of this i'd be getting in touch with The Samaritans. I suggest you read the last two pages of this and tell me how relevant this is to City. Ive seen things moved from this section that have much more significance to City.

Covid passports or not, nobody will be allowed into football stadia from November onwards when the winter restrictions kick in.

 

So we get August, September and October, sweet better then last season .

He was telling everyone on here not to buy a season ticket when they first came out, said fans wouldn’t be allowed in at all. Hopefully by October he’ll be claiming we’ll be playing behind closed doors by January, or is it that the season will end full stop can’t remember…

 

He is under 30 years old, his fear is irrational for his age.

There maybe a lockdown in the winter, there maybe will be an explosion of cases now which will dip as herd immunity takes over. At this moment it's all guess work.

Do so at your own peril, cases will be at 150,000+ come the start of the season with the easing of restrictions, so expect a fair few matches to be called off with positive cases.

 

We've got to be realistic, looking at the form of the past 16 months and the signs coming directly from the top there's going to be winter restrictions. There's no point being away with the fairies and thinking everything is back to normal as soon as the season kicks off, because it's only going to be temporary, and we're all going to suffer once more this winter.
