What scares me is the continuing widespread circulation of this virus which can mutatate at any time. Also people can still catch it when vaccinated which can lead to complications.
It’s as simple as this if people don’t want the vaccination fair enough but accept the limitation

I couldn't give a flying toss whom I sit with. Vaccinated or not.

Plenty whom purposely contribute to their downfall, through diet, smoking, alcohol, drugs et al, yet we want to alienate individuals whom have the right to CHOOSE to be vaccinated or not.

A world of contradiction and division.

Because we live in a democratic society allowing freedom of choice. I've had one jab (for all the good its done me) but i wouldn't force others to take against their will.

The constant 24 hour media coverage and scare mongering has definitely caused a form of paranoia in some people

Individual thought and perspective seems to have completely disappeared from some people. It's like they're mindless drones, petrified to go against the grain, waiting to be told what to do and how to think.

Can you imagine the reaction to someone suggesting kids shouldn't be allowed to go watch football 18 months ago?

This is far bigger than COVID. COVID is the catalyst, an opportunity for the powers that be and its only going to get worse.

I haven't seen or heard many people complaining about the need to be double jabbed to travel to Spain or Portugal (when it happens) so why is that any different to needing to be double jabbed to go to a football match.

It's not an invasion of civil liberties as some would suggest, it's just a common sense way of restricting serious illness amongst those who aren't vaccinated.

We need to get back to a near normal life. If that means being jabbed and having to prove it to enter certain places then those who aren't jabbed have a choice. Jab or stay out. No complaints from me, makes no difference at all to me in fact. I won't shun people who aren't jabbed because the jab protects me from serious illness. The biggest risk is to themselves.

I agree with you. I don't mind wearing a mask, I don't object to a Covid pass but time slots for entering and leaving VP might well be a bridge too far. We meet up before the game for a meal and a drink in a fairly quiet pub on the outskirts of Bradford, jump into 1 car usually and arrive at VP about 15 mins before kick off. Having a particular time slot would be a problem for our group. I live closest to VP and still have a 90 min journey to get there. One of our group lives west of Chester with a journey time of 2.5 hrs. A time slot would change the routine dramatically and since our primary reason for attending is to meet up socially, I know some of the group would prefer to omit the VP part!

Hasn’t Boris’ popularity actually increased through the pandemic, bizarrely?

if labour can’t eat into that Tory majority at the next election like Danny Cadamarteri devouring a cheeseburger, they might as well pack in

I mentioned earlier that isolation rules are the same now 17 months in as they were 3 months into the pandemic. We have millions of tests, millions of jabs have been given and people are still having to isolate at home even if they test negative every single day if someone from Test and Trace rings them. Surely we should have the infostructure to bring this up to date. The government's own eye has been so off the ball on this the top end of the cabinet are current off isolation making up pilot scheme to try get round it rather than bringing it up to date.

1 case in my daughters school year and the whole year is sent home, the fact every other child could test negative day after day makes no difference, it's 10 days isolation, it's a ridiculous situation.

Seems like a great system for refusal of entry.

Serious question. Why do people get so upset about taking a knee? I’m a bit ambivalent but it seems to me a lot of people want the right to not wear a mask yet some of same people want to deny the right for others to do what they feel is important?

Isn't that outdated advice from when they expected to be allowed to have a crowd under the tier system many months ago.

I think that will be updated once the EFL pull their figure out of their arse to give a league wide guidance. However with some teams having home games a week before we are like Exeter they have decided they can't wait and put forward their own guidance.

    updated post after posting....

The "Covid 19 spectators code of conduct" was announced in this club news piece on the return of supporters back in December 2020. The info you are referring to is clearly out of date and needs updating. It also refers to shut kiosks when we have been pushing out new caterers and bar options in the last two months.

It's all pretty pointless when those thousands of fans will be travelling on the tube to the game, and packing out pubs on the way to ground, with countless others who won't be going to the game so therefore have no need to test.

Seems to have gone strangely quiet about this. Are they waiting for a bit of a spike now season has started which they will point to football and blame it before introducing them?
