You've got a point tbf Fordy. The government should be doing more.

For example, I've just cut my grass - are garden waste collections still taking place? Are they classed as critical or not? Where do it put it?

My daughters international school trip takes place in June - the last installment is due just after Easter. Do I pay it? Is it still going ahead? If I don't pay it, does she lose her space?

Similarly, school attendance - will the official figures be marked down during the period of school closures?

NOTHING has been said about any of this. Am I supposed to figure this stuff out on my own? Is that the governments answer? For me to think for myself?

I suggest you move to a better area. Me & @wetherbywhaler have no problem with our waste collections or pay your council tax.

No mate, DVLA have made that clear. You get fined and then if your car needs taxing then you get clamped.

Point is things like this and council tax etc should have been frozen if you're serious about keeping people inidoors.

They'll all be connected remotely, but it can't be good that the people leading our response can't be in the same room for the next 14 days.

I'd suggest this trumps anything the DVLA says, do you have a link as I've looked on the DVLA site and cant find anything with regards this present situation ?.

The DfT says legislation will be introduced on March 30 and will come into immediate effect for the beenfit of all road users.

However, they conform drivers will still need to get their vehicle tested until the new regulations come into effect next week.

The DfT also confrmed the agency is working with insurance providers and the police to ensure those unable to attend an appointment because they are self-isolating are not unfairly punished.
