I'm just concerned at the way the government controls the narrative and points at other as scapegoats and most of the country happily laps it up.

The NHS is a great example, people who put their lives on the line throughout the pandemic are now the target of the scapegoat brigade if they aren't currently vaccinated. It was care home workers and the question is who will it be next, it seems targets are set for the Over 65s without their booster jabs. In time it will be a group you will be part of.

The scariest part, the way many of the public are following this nonsense that if Boris announced tonight there were to be a month long lockdown, many would accept it no questions asked...

Now let them tell us its about a virus, pitting people against people isolating certain groups, we all saw what happened in the 1930s and how it ended, these are slow but calculated moves to pigeon hole people.

    • Its just 2 weeks to flatten the curve
    • It's just a mask
    • It's just care workers being sacked
    • .......Its just locking up everyone who won't do what we tell them.

The worrying thing is how many people are actually bothered by this. Is shows how easily people can be manipulated to have the rights of "others" stripped away.

Unless you have a medical condition that forbids it then the vaccination should be made mandatory in the interests of all, Those refusing must be made to isolate

    Nope.

If the vaccines were perfect and carried zero risk you could make a truly exceptional argument that they could be compulsory.

Neither of those things are true though so the general outlook that medical procedures are voluntary (including free from coercion) needs to be upheld.

I am honestly surprised at how many people think much of this madness is a good idea.

How can a tiny reduction in covid transmission by sacking off unvaccinated care staff outweigh the damage done by seeing tens of thousands of carers being removed. We still have as many people who require caring for today as we did yesterday, but we suddenly have a substantial less number of people to care for them.

What knock on effect does that have? Well as reported by the BBC yesterday this,

"Hospitals are also reporting problems trying to discharge patients who are medically fit to leave but cannot because there is no social care available to support them in the community. (THIS IS BEFORE THEY SACKED MORE OFF)

This is causing significant delays admitting patients onto wards, and in turn is leading to long waits for ambulance crews arriving with patients."

Lives at risk from long ambulance waits, say paramedics - BBC News

It's as if the concequence of such actions are a complete after thought.

Whilst people continue to believe the nonsense sprouted by the government then we are only at the top of the slippery slope, amazing how brainwashed some people allow themselves to get
It will be far too late before they realise the full implications No carers, Shortage of Drs/Nurses, Lack of Ambulance Drivers the list will only grow (wonder if all the staff at Boris private clinic have been jabbed)
Hopefully an uprising in Austria will focus some minds

Top post Steve, thank goodness there is some common sence in this madness, people have been radicalised by fear just goes to show how easy facism swept into power in Germany

"Imo, we're storing up a major issue and our cases continue to increase"

So a month later @Dennis@Dennis how is this prediction looking compared to the others mentioned (and a couple of others which were accidentally omitted such as Denmark, Belgium, Holland, Austria and Croatia)?

I'm guessing the UK has still been going up and all the other Western democracies are doing better than us in keeping their levels flat with their obviously effective vaccine plus outlook?

even with our dips and the other countries rises last time I looked we were still one of the worst per 100,000.

    Is that still the case?

Think we're pretty middle of the road at the moment and currently dropping.

Of course it will go back up as it ebbs and flows but there's no point in cherry picking the data as everyone goes up and down at different rates.

We've been pretty static Since restrictions were removed with no major peaks.

Since the back end of October many countries are seeing a large upward trend.

Lets call Sweden the Control Group in all this.

Many people point to Germany with their mask mandate, vaccine passport and various other restrictions (FFP3 or N95 masks on public transport, and unvaccinated needing LFT to enter shops).

The data doesn't exist for testing in November 2021 but prior to that we were doing about 6 times the testing they were doing in Germany but many were pointing at how high our cases were as using it as evidence that it was working so if my some miracle Germany's testing has increased 6 fold in the last weekI suppose we can start to compare like for like.
