    Properly funny isn't it!

Sure they can still find people who are willing to go on and push for Plab B if they really try.

Wouldn't surprise me if figures don't bounce back up again. Seems to be the current way of things. They go up so people clammer for more restrictions and then they dip and people moan about those asking for more restrictions which is usually followed by another spike.

It is like when BC play badly people moan, win a couple of games and people are moaning about the moaners quickly followed by a drop in form

I guess they booked the guest before the weekend figures were rolled out.

I wouldn't be suprised in seeing the figures going up again, they will be what they will be but looking at Wales and Scotland it just seems whatever you do doesn't make a tangible difference unless you have a full on lockdown which we won't be having again.

Weirdly over the past two weeks I’ve known more people test positive than at any point during the whole thing

They'll go up and down and ebb and flow for the foreseeable future. It's why the push for additional restrictions - regardless of the direction of travel - just seems like idle chatter.

At least when they're going up there seems to be rationale behind it but when they're going down it just seems silly.

I must be one of those that hardly pays attention to the virus coverage anymore. Sick of seeing vax and anti vax or figures are up down today but hey they could be up next week. I made a choice and had my 2 jabs, if I have to wear a mask at some point I will do but I wont wear one outside in the open and I continue to use common sense. . If others choose different then I respect that. Covid is well down the list of the important things going on my life to a point where I don't think about it. If I catch it again that's life.

Purposely leaked to see the public opinion?

"Vaccines will be mandatory for NHS staff"

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-59215282

If they can explain how the 110k will be replaced should they go ahead with this seeing as we have a forever growing waiting list then people might take this seriously. I notice how they have indicated Spring would be when this would be brought in, simply because they would be swamped otherwise.

For balance I am double jabbed, but if I were to get ill, being treated is my No1 issue regardless of the vaccine status of the person treating me.

Once this is challenged on say religious grounds etc it could cost millions, the government really need to rethink this one, we need these people and more no less.

I can't understand how, "we need to protect the NHS", and "we are going to sack off 100k staff" can be part of the same action by the government.

I don't think protect the NHS with restrictions so the government can sack off 100k staff is a good look tbh.

The idea of what they were doing would seem in practice a very good thing to do. However, how we the tax payer ended up, and in some cases still are, paying for it showed the myth of this free to use NHS for what it was.

Am I missing a trick here but I was under the impression getting the jab didn't stop you from being able to spread the disease. If that is the case then why are care workers in some cases being sacked for refusing to get the vaccine?

I was listening to Nick Ferrari this morning asked this very question and his only answer was to speak over the caller saying you should be helping to save lives by getting the jab. How exactly? The only life you are potentially saving is your own if I've read this correctly and that should be your own choice as to wether you think will potentially save you from serious harm or death.

Exactly. Its not about a virus, or protection from the virus.

Current studies have shown it does reduce it for a period of time.

I would presume that testing, and PPE is high up the list of precautionary measures currently been used by the NHS, therefore the chance of passing Covid is significantly reduced in this setting as opposed to other settings.

It says everything that they want these people they will be quite happy to dispose of in the Spring to cover the winter surge in demand.

If those who set the laws want this to be put into place, I would like to see all 650 MPs do the same thing.
