    'Drastically' is an overstatement.

    Think of it this way, an infected unvaccinated person may come into contact with 20 people and infects one of them. Let's say the vaccine reduces transmission by 50%. That would mean the chance of passing on the infection is reduced from 5% to 2.5%. It certainly has an effect, but I wouldn't say its drastic.

    From what I understand, for a vaccine to count, it has to be given in this country by the NHS. I know of a couple of dual nationality citizens who had their first vaccine in another country, but will have to have their first dose again in this country as the NHS don't recognise the first jab as it was administered abroad.

    Watching the cricket last night there looked to be very little with crowed restrictions the ground was well full at Trent Bridge, many having a pint in their hands and no such thing as social distancing and no evidence of mask being worn.

    The more people who are vaccinated the better it works then. So get vaccinated to protect yourself from the chance of getting a nasty illness which could stay with you for years. And along with wearing a mask in appropriate circumstances which will help to protect others.

    That's because Trent Bridge is one of the sites which are part of the Covid trial events. To get access to the ground, you had to provide proof that you were double jabbed 14 days before the event or you had evidence of a negative LFT test. Just like a Covid pass.

    Silverstone is also part of the trial so 140,000 people attending today's F1 will have to meet the same criteria .. just like a Covid pass!

    Are you saying that a big % of the people currently hospitalised are the non vaccinated where have you got that from
    Government haven't and probably won't release those figures which should make you question your post
    Am all for keeping people safe but it's so so one sided with a government who to be fair are floundering

    That was my understanding too. Got some friends coming back from Portugal to visit, pick grandkids up etc, and they were saying they didn’t need to do it as were double jabbed.
